  • “Really fabulous central location and perfect for a couple of nights stay. The rooms are about the same size as a hotel room, with similar facilities (fridge, kettle). Having the parking is great, as otherwise the main car parks in Lyme Regis are a walk up the hill. We stayed 2 nights - it was just what we wanted.”

  • “My son and I had a wonderful time in the Shepherd's Hut. It is beautiful space stay in. We loved that we had our private space and being so close to the beaches. We have already booked to come again in the summer.”

  • Alexandra Hotel Review score: 9

“The hotel was lovely and clean, the staff were lovely & welcoming and very helpful, I was able to leave my luggage at the hotel in the morning before the afternoon check in because we were going to see a show at the pavilion which was great, hotel location to the pavilion is great, there is no restaurant but we were able to order a takeaway and eat in the lounge, staff provided takeaway info, and provided plates etc”

  • “Friendliness of staff”

  • The Minster Arms Review score: 8

“I stayed in Chablis, which I believe is the smallest of the rooms on offer. It was ample space for one person, and would have been fine for a couple. I'd seen reviews which complained about cleanliness, but I have absolutely no criticisms on that score. The room was spotless, apart from a few crumbs of what looked like tobacco in a bedside drawer. The Minster Arms is situated just beyond the central part of Wimborne, and consequently was very quiet, with minimal traffic noise. I slept very well. Breakfast was lovely, served in a quiet dining room. The waitress was friendly and the "full English" was delicious and hot. The pretty ceramic jars of juice were a nice touch. I enjoyed a quick walk into the centre of Wimborne in the morning.”

  • “Room was great , very big with plenty of tea , coffee, milk and biscuits”

  • Grand Hotel Swanage Review score: 7

“Sea view and the general property appearance was very good”
