We loved our stay in Matraszentimre Panzio, it is such a great value for the low price, we particularly appreciated that it is a family-run hotel and the hosts were super friendly and flexible with any request. The breakfast and the alacarte restaurant is great, there is even vegan and vegetarian options, the rooms and beds are comfortable and the location is perfect to reach the best hiking spots. Would definitely return and recommend it to friends!

The meals were delicious with a wide variety of choices. The hotel is close to the wine cellars of Farkasmály, where it is possible to taste different kinds of excellent quality wine for a relatively low price. The hotel is close to the hiking routes of Mátra. You can reach Mátrafüred in 15 minutes by car, where you can park your car and follow the natural hiking routes. If you do not like walking you can go to Kékes, the highest point in Hungary.

Everything went well. The staff was amicable, the breakfast and dinner were plentiful and delicious. The dinner was much better than in other restaurants for a friendlier price. The room was large, comfortably furnished, and an easily accessible relax area with saunas. Excursion starting points easily accessible by buses, such as Mátrafüred and Mátraháza. Hotel Opal is close to the bus station with frequent buses.

The hotel is located in beautiful Matra, surrounded with the forrest. The restaurant’s view is breathtaking and the hotel has all facilities and comfort one needs: the room was spacious, very clean, spa was clean and beautiful, staff was incredibly friendly, food was diverse and delicious. Highly recommended!

Perfect place to spend a few days

Location is fantastic. The staff is exceptionally nice. Breakfest was varied and satisfying.

A well equipped apartment which had an authentic interior, and it is has a nice and spacious garden. We really enjoyed the outdoor cooking possibility in that calm environment. Getting access to the apartment went pretty smoothly.

Better than expected! Family friendly complex vacation, lot of things to do: hiking, wellness, community room for kids with lot of toys, restaurant everything at a huge natural place. We also asked for dinner which was for 6000 HUF but worth the money! Very nice variety both for breakfast and dinner.

Best dinners on earth and peace all around

It has great location, very cool architecture, great room for 3 or 4 people, where you can modify the lower bed layout depending if you travel with family of friends. Restaurant had great options and everything was delicious. It has great restaurant space with lots of boardgames. Staff is very helpful and kind.

The property was very clean and the host was very kind and helpful. We have arrived hours earlier than they expect us but the room was ready, no needed to wait. 😄 The view from the roof terrace is beautiful 😍.

The location is amazing, sleeping in a comfortable cave is a good experience. The equipment and cleanliness was good.

It is a beautifully arranged, vintage styled apartment with efficient heating and strong wifi. The jacuzzi is in the garden so you can enjoy the chirping of birds. The kitchen is well-equipped, the beds are absolutely comfortable. We had a very pleasant stay. In the village there are shops nearby and a nice restaurant.
