Helpful, welcoming hosts, even though we arrived really early because we wanted to drop off our luggage on our way to a wedding. They were very accommodating and made it all very easy. Just so friendly and helpful it was a pleasure to be there. Even my beagle felt like an honoured guest. Room was first rate in every sense. The restaurant was not open but they allowed us to order in and set a table etc. worked really well.

The chalet/stable was absolutely fantastic, finished to a high standard, lovely king size bed,TV and tea and coffee the staff were all very friendly. Great place to stay!!!

The hot choices were very good and cooked to perfection. We loved the staff. They were all wonderful esp Jules, Freya, Lucy, Charlie. Dinner was superb. The fish n chips were an A+++ and we are from New England. The hotel is so steeped in unique history and each nook and crannies reflects this beauty. Our room ( #1)was fantastic.I The Secret Garden was indeed a lovely secret haven for afternoon tea.
