Situated in Edinburgh and with Royal Yacht Britannia reachable within less than 1 km, Ocean Mist Leith features express check-in and check-out, allergy-free rooms, a terrace, free WiFi throughout the... The hotel is located in a ship with a varied history - used during wartimes, but also for trade, then for a playboy‘s party life, it had been left unused for many years before the current owners restored it. Hotel rooms are designed as cabins with en-suite bathrooms, breakfast and drinks are served in the upper deck. We loved the design of the rooms and common areas - high quality and nicely classic without any kitsch. Service was impeccable, and while breakfast was rather simple, the bar served very creative cocktails. Certainly a very unique experience!

Quiet location within walking distance from Kirkcudbright. Lovely countryside and views. Hotel was charming and had small number of rooms so not crowded. Owners and staff were friendly and cheerful and helpful. Room was very comfortable and clean and full of original features. Good en-suite facilities. Breakfast was full of lovely options, and due to Covid restrictions, the dining was well spaced out. Views from breakfast dining room were very nice indeed. Great cycling countryside so would defo go back there with bikes. Thumbs up, Arden Hall Hotel :o)

Set in Kelso, 41 km from The Maltings Theatre & Cinema, SCHLOSS Roxburghe, part of Destination by Hyatt offers accommodation with a fitness centre, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. Staff was very attentive and very friendly whoever you spoke to and they all made sure we had a good experience. The food was really good too. The newer area of the hotel was very nicely decorated and clean, and the old part of the estate still had a very cosy feeling, especially the bar in the "library" where we could sit and have a few drinks after dinner.

Lovely room, spacious and tastefully decorated. Bathroom is big and with a nice shower. Loved the desk as I was travelling for wok so it was nice to have a sturdy, large area to work at without feeling like I was cramped in a corner. Buffet breakfast is generous and very tasty, and everyone was very helpful and polite. I asked to check-in early and reception was kind enough to let me do so. Excellent location and lots of amenities around.

Aamiainen ja sijainti oli loistava. Naapurihuoneessa oli koira, mutta vaikka äänieristys oli huono niin meteliä ei ollut. Kylässä oli kiva lyhyt kävely rannalla Dunskeyn linnan raunioille. Aamupala taisi olla 7.30-9.30. Aamupalan sai vapaasti tilata listalta, vaihtoehtoja oli monia skotlantilaisesta aamupalasta kaurapuuroon. Illalla keittiö oli auki klo 21 asti. I stay at Kilconquhar Castle Estate whenever I visit Fife for work and golf. It is in a perfect location close to many of the top golf courses in the world. The staff are always personable, accommodating, and helpful. The villas, although a bit dated, are perfect for golf holidays with a group of friends. We loved having the three-hole warm-up area available before hitting the links, as most Scots do not warm up before playing. The bar is a great place to unwind after a day on the links. I highly recommend the estate.
