The Sands Hotel, Orknad ligger i en 1800-talsbyggnad vid stranden av Scapa Flow i byn Burray. Här finns en bar, en restaurang och vacker havsutsikt. The staff was wonderful. They were welcoming, gracious and extra-accommodating. We arrived later than the restaurant was open, but they were willing to stay open and serve us from the Bar Menu (which was delilcious). The entire stay was delightful.

Smithfield Hotel ligger på ön Orkney, drygt 22 km från Kirkwall. Här erbjuds 3-stjärnigt boende med gratis parkering, en bar och en restaurang. Flygplatsen Kirkwall ligger 30 minuter bort. Very warm welcome from staff. The room was spacious, warm and very comfortable with quality bedding and pillows. Very good shower, great cooked breakfast, with choices, and free parking. Nice and quiet, away from the main towns, supermarket and fuel across the road. Central access to island sights. Highly recommend.

Merkister Hotel ligger på stranden av sjön Harray Loch. Detta hotell har drivits av samma familj i över 30 år och ligger 15 minuters bilresa från städerna Kirkwall och Stromness. The Merkister Hotel is located on Loch Harray a beautiful and serene setting. It was also an easy car ride to sites such as Skara Brae and about a 20 minute drive to Kirkwall. The staff were all very pleasant and we enjoyed excellent breakfasts and dinners in the Skerries Restaurant.

The Stromness Hotel is set in Stromness. This hotel offers free WiFi. Ring of Brogdar is 6 km away and Standing Stones of Stenness is 6 km from the hotel. All rooms in the hotel are fitted with a TV. This is one of the best place I stayed in during my trip ! The staff was welcoming, the room beautiful and comfy, and the restaurant EXCELLENT and not expensive ! I recommend it to anyone who would like to stay in a historical building near the port !

West End Guest House is set in Kirkwall, 1.2 km from Highland Park Distillery. Free private parking is available onsite. Certain rooms feature a seating area for your convenience. Wonderful breakfast. Kind staff. Great location right near the cathedral.
