El Sands Hotel ocupa un edificio del siglo XIX situado en la localidad de Burray, junto a la costa de Scapa Flow. Cuenta con bar, restaurante y vistas al mar. The staff was wonderful. They were welcoming, gracious and extra-accommodating. We arrived later than the restaurant was open, but they were willing to stay open and serve us from the Bar Menu (which was delilcious). The entire stay was delightful.

El Merkister Hotel es un alojamiento de gestión familiar desde hace más de 30 años. The Merkister Hotel is located on Loch Harray a beautiful and serene setting. It was also an easy car ride to sites such as Skara Brae and about a 20 minute drive to Kirkwall. The staff were all very pleasant and we enjoyed excellent breakfasts and dinners in the Skerries Restaurant.

The Stromness Hotel is set in Stromness. This hotel offers free WiFi. Ring of Brogdar is 6 km away and Standing Stones of Stenness is 6 km from the hotel. All rooms in the hotel are fitted with a TV. This is one of the best place I stayed in during my trip ! The staff was welcoming, the room beautiful and comfy, and the restaurant EXCELLENT and not expensive ! I recommend it to anyone who would like to stay in a historical building near the port !

El West End Guest House se encuentra en Kirkwall, a 1,2 km de la destilería Highland Park. Hay estacionamiento privado gratuito. Algunas habitaciones tienen zona de estar. No hesitation in thoroughly recommending this guest house. It has excellent staff who all do their jobs in a totally profesional manner, they are a source of lots of useful information about the weather, attractions, buses and even steer you clear of dangereous roads for walkers (traffic on Orkney can be ruthless!) The rooms may intially seem a little dated, but they are well equiped and a great place to get dry. There's an outstanding cooked breakfast which you pre order I found this prevented delays and hearing "we've got your order muddled" which I ecountered in another hotel whilst I was in Scotland. There's also a good range of cereals and fruit -a cornucopia has nothing on this place,
