Quiet location within walking distance from Kirkcudbright. Lovely countryside and views. Hotel was charming and had small number of rooms so not crowded. Owners and staff were friendly and cheerful and helpful. Room was very comfortable and clean and full of original features. Good en-suite facilities. Breakfast was full of lovely options, and due to Covid restrictions, the dining was well spaced out. Views from breakfast dining room were very nice indeed. Great cycling countryside so would defo go back there with bikes. Thumbs up, Arden Hall Hotel :o)

Luxurious and beautifully decorated throughout with exceptionally comfortable room. Staff were very helpful and had storage for our bike. Were able to adjust evening menu to suit our vegetarian diet and food was excellent.

The breakfast was perfect not greasy ,healthily done, coffee n juice perfect, got seaview table both days. Lisa was so lovely and helpful , so we're all the other girls.

The location was amazing - right on the seafront. Our room had a beautiful view of the bay so that even if the weather was poor we would still have the experience. Food was wonderful and the staff and locals were so friendly to us and our doggie. Lovely sitooterie outside the hotel. We will be back!

My room was so beautiful, much better than the online photos gave it credit for. Even the curtains were beautiful! Every meal was made with love, and so delicious! Originally an 18th century mansion, Cally Palace is now a sophisticated golf hotel just 48 minutes’ drive from the market town of Dumfries. Stunning location, beautifully restored property, extremely nice inside. Dog friendly with dog allowed to sit in conservatory bar and permitted to remain in room unattended. £10 charge per night for dog. Small but well maintained health and fitness suite with pool, jacuzzi, sauna and a small gym area. Golf on site plus local forest walks in what was the house grounds. Staff very pleasant and efficient. Good choice of cold and hot breakfast items on a self service basis. Restaurant was high quality with very good locally sourced produce.
