It features 7 outdoor cenote style pools, Villa Suites to choose from pool or river view, restaurant, bar, cafeteria, game room, in site souvenir store, convention center, Maya spa and the most important its contact by nature, local fauna and flora. I liked very much the swimming pool...extraordinary spot. Though, maintenance is being announced by having blue paing being washed by time/sun. Take car of that swiming pool, is a mine!

For added convenience, the property can provide towels and bed linen for an extra charge. I loved the Cabañas Junkolal Tziscao. I arrived shortly after a strong storm had passed through and left the entire area without power. Junkolal was prepared with an electric generator. While they didn't run it all the time (nor would I have expected them to), I was grateful that they were prepared to provide energy during a blackout. I was also pleased with their wonderful, folksy service. There was a group staying there at the same time that got a little loud a few times, but staff made sure that the group was quiet after dark and didn't disturb the other guests. Nery was an especially great host. He thoroughly described the property, it's coffee farm, and overlook, and the area to me. He was happy to provide tours (for a well-deserved and reasonable fee, of course) to nearby sites. Cabañas Junkolal Tziscao was my favorite stay during a 3-week vacation throughout Chiapas. I would definitely recommend it!

A continental breakfast is available daily at the lodge. when we arrived at the hotel we immediately felt zen. the host is very friendly and speaks good english. the food they prepared was delicious. we had the most amazing calzone with veggie’s and tuna. it was a challenge to finish the calzone with the two of us because it was so big. also there is good wifi and also the possibility to have a warm shower. to be at this hotel was an experience itself along with palenque. the jungle is beautiful and the hotel managed it to make you feel that you are in the jungle already. we would recommend this place for everyone, a big 10 for us!!

Ecolodge Las Nubes features free Wi-Fi and an on-site restaurant. The bungalows at this hotel are equipped with a private terrace, plus cozy wooden décor. They come with a private bathroom, a fan and a wardrobe, and also boast views of the gardens. This ecolodge is like a dream. The location next to the river and waterfall are unreal. The food at the restaurant is also very good. I stayed at three difference ecolodges in Chiapas, and this was by far the best.

A children's playground and barbecue facilities are available for guests at the lodge to use. the complex with the inner patio is just magnificent, its really quiet and the view from the rooftop (we rented the house a few days earlier with friends, before my stay alone there) is beautiful. the staff, cleaning service and especially Yagil are very welcoming and can help you with every request even without being able to speak spanish. the double room i stayed alone in is perfect size and most important the tap water in the complex is treated so its safe to use for brushing teeth etc. that otherwise can be a problem in San Cris. Another good tip is to go on a tour with Yagil in the jungle/mountains dont miss that out!! free water, EXCELENT WIFI!!
