Leafy town on the southern slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro. The town itself does not have a real center, just a tacky sculpture of Mt. Kilimanjaro in the center of a roundabout. However, if you stay a little bit outside of town then you can enjoy the unique location.

There is a lot of really nice restaurants(indointaliano is one of the best) and the view of Kilimanjaro is amazing. Moshi is the best place to find a company which will take you to the summit of Kilimanjaro. You can also do day trips from Moshi to Materuni waterfalls or Kikuletwa Hot Springs.

There is absolutely nothing to do in Moshi and is only good if you do a tour or two and hike Kilimanjaro. When you are done with those, get out! The do have a Regional Immigration Office that will extend your visa for 30 days if you need it.

Although it is a tent with no climate control, even in the coldest month, there was no need for heating or cooling. The restaurant has delicious food for breakfast lunch and dinner, and the hotel grows its own fruit and coffee. they can make fresh juices for breakfast and dinner. Location away from busy downtown, but close enough for easy access. An oasis of pleasant surroundings. Tina and Mary are the nicest, most thoughtful, helpful people you could ask for. Their goal is to make it feel homey, and it feels homey and luxurious too. They will also arrange rides, tours, safaris, etc. And they will cook for you if you want, or you can use the kitchen. On top of all that, it is very reasonable!
