Good buffet dinner and breakfast. Willingness to change our room when it was found that there was a bird nest right by our AC outlet - the babies WOULD HAVE DIED if the AC had been used. I communicated with the management, and they assure me that the pipe will be deflected, or the room not used until the baby birds have flown.

The hotel was amazing. The Host is very kind and friendly, available to give us directions and advice, such as where to dine (really good suggestion!). The room was spacious and characteristic, very Turkish style hotel. No parking problems. The hotel is located in an area with many restaurants, bars and other facilities. Breakfast is with fixed dish (no possibility to choose from a buffet) with bread, olive, cheeses (yummy!), eggs as you want... so we didn' starve! :-) recommend

The room was squeaky clean. The hotel was centrally located. 10 minutes walk to the train and the bus stations. They had good tie ups with travel agencies for tours to Ephesus and Pamukkale. Breakfast was served on time. House cleaning was brilliant.
Omer and his friend (who run the hotel) helped with arranging transport, the right buses to take.

Exceptionally attentive and friendly staff. Quaint building , tucked in an elevated position in older side of Selcuk overlooking the Temple of Artemis and the valley in which one visits Ephesus . Five minutes walk from Selcuk train station and Saturday markets. We showed our interest in visiting the hippodrome at the ancient site of Magnesia and the manager was kind enough to organise a private vehicle so we could visit. Unbelievable place to visit!
The dining was the best we had in Turkey . Cannot beat the breakfasts. Delicious and healthy.

The apartment was very quiet, the balcony offered a view to remember fondly, the people in town so friendly and helpful. We ate twice at the favourite restaurant Ali recommended and we did not regret it. We travelled to Ephesus and selected the inclusive ticket which was 52 euros and it was worth every penny. Plan 4 to 5 hours, go as early as possible to avoid the crowds. We were there at 8:30 and the Firmin the parolier! By the time the crowds started we had walked the entire sight and avoided the heat.

We spent 3 days - one day in Selcuk ( there are 3 sites including Ephesus Museum worth one day) and one day doing Ephesus with a private guide( excellent and picked by the hote) and make sure you do the Terraces( many tours don't include it) and finally you can do 3 amazing sites 1-2 hours away - Piriene, Milietus and Didyma ( very few people do this but worth it). The hotel staff can help you

Smaller and less touristy with locals attentive to your need and willingness to help. Ephesus Archeological Park was the highlight of the visit. There is no dearth of choices for eating - from local Turkish dishes to Burger King. Selchuk is more convenient to stay as beginning from morning you can at your leisurely pace cover St John's Basilica, Artemis Temple, Ephesus Archeological Park and Virgin Mary's House all in one day.

we stayed in Sirince.
we stayed in Sirince. An antique village in the mountains outside of Selcuk. A 19th Century experience in small town Turkey. Bring good shoes for steep hills and uneven ground. Good natural foods from local farms. Expect an authentic experience.

I’m not sure why anyone from away would come to Selcuk...
I’m not sure why anyone from away would come to Selcuk unless they were there to see the antique ruins of Ephesus. That is certainly why we came. If you are in Turkey- I suggest it is a must see.
Ephesus is one of the most excavated sites in the world. It is humbling to see how much as a civilized culture we have forgotten- or forgot and have had to rediscover over the millenniums.
That said, Selcuk had decent dining options, and other attractions like the Ephesus Museum (where the artifacts are housed), and the Saint John Basilica which are fantastic. Both are blocks from the Akanthus hotel (which I reviewed separately and highly recommend .

Lovely town, the people were very friendly and helpful.
Lovely town, the people were very friendly and helpful. Easy to go around. Saturday has a fruit/veg, utensils market behind the bus station. Bus station in the centre of the town. Nice restaurants and good food and prices.
A truly family run and family style small hotel in Selcuk, near Ephesus. We really enjoyed the helpful and very friendly welcome and all the small, honest, personal touches that we experienced during our stay: an unexpected glass of white wine while we were swimming in the refreshing pool in the courtyard, a just in time cup of Turkish Coffee when I was working on my laptop in the dining room, and also the very delicious and plentiful home cooked breakfasts. Very well done.
The staff could not have been more genuinely helpful and friendly during our stay. The breakfast was freshly made, the pool a very pleasant dip after seeing the sites, the overall vibe was very welcoming. Facilities were modern, the location was perfect to visit several attractions, a great value for the room, and one of the owners walked us into town for lunch upon our arrival. Best hotel ever - and visitors should seriously consider it in their plans.
Villa Dreams claims to have the best views and it does! Our balcony overlooked the town of Selçuk, the fortress and the ruins of St. John's Basilica. Every evening, we looked forward to watching the sun as it set and, later, the moon along with Venus above Ayasoluk Hill. The staff was helpful in recommending restaurants and how best to visit Ephesus, and breakfast was wonderful! Instead of a buffet, it was served to us at our table.
In Ephesus Hotel and Art Gallery is a homely, friendly clean and welcoming place. Nur and her staff were outstanding in their hospitality and were ever eager to help. The breakfasts were generous and very delicious. Nur went out of her way to get us a cable to connect our phone to our rental car and was ever ready to help us with our visit to Ephesus. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Selçuk.
For my wife and I this hotel was perfect. The owners and staff were incredibly obliging. Most importantly the bed was very comfortable, not something you find often in Turkey. The breakfast was really good which you had sat in a very private, shaded courtyard, very chilled atmosphere. Location could not have been better for visiting all the sites around Selcuk, most of which are within walking distance.
The location is excellent, being a few minutes walk from the train station. Excellent staff who were friendly and helpful both with hotel matters and travel / tourism / train advice. The breakfast was delicious! Also, there is a really good coffee shop at very affordable prices at the front of the hotel. Walkable to everywhere in Selcuk from the hotel. Room and all linens were clean.
The property, room, and views were all gorgeous!! We really loved the Turkish bath in our room and the full closet setup to hang up our clothes. If you eat at the restaurant, definitely try the curry chicken. It was probably my favorite meal in all of Turkey. I really loved the mythology theme to the hotel and the view of town at night was beautiful. It was such a great stay!
Such a beautiful hotel, nicely decorated with a cute garden and pool. Staff were lovely and attentive, we also got an upgrade for our room. Very comfortable bed and nice shower. Perfect location in Selcuk and easy to get to Ephesus as well as driving to any other place. Breakfast was beyond our expectations- everything freshly made, not buffet style
It is a beautiful hotel.
Attention to detail in the decor.
The staff was extremely nice.
The WiFi was OK. (The best I had in Turkey)
The breakfast was nice and huge.
It is cheap to take the taxi to the city center.
Room was very big.
Enough closet space.
Shower pressure was very good.
Ayasoluk Hotel exceeded our expectations! The staff was incredibly nice and helpful, the room was very nice with multiple windows and a comfortable bed, and the restaurant served some great food (we had dinner there two nights in a row). The view from the patio was excellent.
This is a very beautiful small hotel in a quiet neighborhood, at walking distance from all the main attractions of Selcuk. Less than 10 minutes drive from Ephesus. The hotel is beautifully decorated with art from local artists. The breakfast is amazing.
Booked at short notice on our first trip to Turkey. Great location at the centre of interesting town. Roof excellent for sunset views, afternoon sunbathing, drying washing! Family-run, very personal service, excellent breakfasts
The place is near the city centre.
The staff spoke great English.
The breakfast was great.
It had a nice garden to relax and drink something.
The bathroom was bigger than most bathrooms in Turkey.
