Beautifully restored building; wonderful staff; gorgeous room; lovely swimming pool; perfect breakfast. Plus love the fact that Covilha is a 'swifts' town and the air was full of these beautiful birds :-)

The Hotel is great, calm and quiet Staff is friendly and supportive. Great breakfast. Good location to explore Serra da Estrela.
Superbly located in the Serra da Estrela Mountains with panoramic views over Cova da Beira valley, this mountain resort features a unique architecture with modern décor and an outside pool.
An amazing small city located on a mountain. The city is separated into an older part and a more modern part which is located at the lowest part of the mountain. The city has a plethora of murals and street art and you can download a dedicated application where you can find where all the murals are located and have a self-tour. The old part of town has amazing buildings and you can get lost by walking in the small traditional streets. The restaurants are of high quality and all the food we tasted was simply amazing. I will definitely be coming back :)

Unfortunately when we were there for a 3 night stay the weather was poor on two of the days so I might say the stay was too long. Didn't visit the city at the base of the mountain. The village where the chalets are situated was very quiet with not much going on, we spent most of the spare time in the hotel which was nice.

The Pousada is perfect for a relaxing break. The views are incredible. The service is very good, made to feel welcome. You need to drive back down the mountain for restaurants etc but the Pousada has everything you want. The air is fresh and all you can hear are the birds, superb.

A great city to use as a base to visit nearby mountains and go hiking. Also, if it's the right season for cherries, head to the market and get some. This area is home to the famous Cerejas da Gardunha you see in every supermarket in Portugal :)

O’Serrano de Repleto de Magia was fantastic for dinner!!!
O’Serrano de Repleto de Magia was fantastic for dinner!!! Covilha otherwise is a lovely, slightly sleep city in the off season filled with very friendly talkative locals. Free parking at the city square until December 2020 so that was great!

Very friendly people.
Very friendly people.
Usually we used to eat at the mall, but since it was locked down (it reopened monday the 1st June) this time we tried the pizzeria just in front of the mall and it had nice pasta and pizza.
We had lunch too at Manteigas, and it was great.
Yes, it is easy to get around Covilhã.
It’s a true tiny nest with the most spectacular view over Covilhã, an oasis of tranquility amidst ancient vineyards and crop fields. The propriety is large and comfortable and curated to the detail.
The owners are amazingly welcoming, their dogs and horses are a charm and cutes as buttons and everything is perfect- from warm towels available and a comfortable temperature upon arrival, a basket of freshly picked apples to snack, and a pristine home with few nice touches of charm, original art, and every possible comfort one can hope for.
I was so happy to visit this region of Portugal. The highlands. I came to ski.
And Luna Hotel Serra da Estrela was my Home Base.
The hotel was lovely, and the staff were fantastic!
The first shift Receptionist Tuesday morning was Super Helpful and lovely! Can you thank her for me? (I didn’t get her name unfortunately…)
Also, a special thank you to Luis.
We had dinner at the Restaurant Medieval.
And it was Wonderful!!!
Great, friendly staff, and excellent food…
I will visit again for sure!!!
We spent one night in a (cozy, clean and comfortable) double room with its en-suite bathroom (8th floor). Perfect for our overnight stay!
Very smooth check-in with a very welcoming lady at the reception.
Excellent breakfast.
We were able to park our car right outside the hotel in their dedicated spots and found an excellent Asian restaurant within walking distance.
All in all, we were very happy with our choice.
This hotel was a surprise. We were looking for a chilled weekend to refresh and recharge and that's what we got.
The breakfast was good with many options to choose from. Bedroom was big and the bed very comfortable.
The facilities were clean and modern and we enjoyed the Pool and Spa areas, all included with no extra fee, as well as Gym and Parking too so.. Cool! Staff was friendly and welcoming!
This is a beautiful hotel in the heart of Covilha historic centre. The building has been the subject of an expensive and sensitive restoration and the decor and fittings are the best of contemporary design. The staff, especially the receptionists Kate and Joanna, were exceptional. We did not eat in the restaurant but breakfast was excellent.
Hotel situated in Covilhá City Center with a fresh and modern decoration and comfortable rooms. Also liked the concept, with common areas that have facilities for heating a simple meal, a sporty appeal and easy parking facilities. Positively surprised with the quality and variety of the breakfast offering considering the overall price,
We loved the property itself, a charming and authentically renovated period stone house, with beautifully landscaped gardens and easy access to the town of Covilha. Our hosts, Sofia and Paolo and their manager Jacqueline, could not have done more to make us feel welcome, and also our dog!
The personnel and the owner himself are very welcoming. The hotel is situated right in the city center, but it is calm area, there's no noise during the night. The room was clean and breakfast was tasty. I would recommend this hotel and will stay there next time I go to Covilha.
Courteous staff and a wonderful view of the city of Covilha and the valley from the room.
Comfortable stay in the middle of nature, especially charming at dawn - with the room window open, we were able to enjoy fresh morning air and wonderful sounds of birds.
The apartment has all the conditions and equipment and is spacious. The host even left a couple good surprises.
Covilhã can get very cold during the Winter but the heating in the apartment is fabulous.
Bonus: you can take your dog.
Liked everything, we always stay at Puralã when in Covilhã, such an excellent hotel, convenient for the City but not too close .
Excellent indoor pool for the cooler months, very nice outdoor pool for the long Portuguese summers 🥰
Everything was great. The staff super friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and the shower was awesome! The breakfast was absolutely delicious. Best breakfast during our vacation! Thank you for our stay.
I liked it was clean and in good location. There was a balcony and good bed. The ceiling was rather high, so the room was spacious. Design of villa is good and people are nice.
Very clean, comfortable and pleasant room with nice robes and slippers.
The breakfast was varied and well prepared.
Because of our schedule we didn't get to use the spa 😔.
The guesthouse has a hotel vibe.
The room was recent and clean, the A/C worked well.
I had to arrive a few minutes after the check-in closure and it was no problem
