We had a large first floor room. It was perfect for our needs. The breakfast was equal to the best we have had in Italy and much better than most . The location has several very good restaurants within steps of the hotel. The restaurants offer a variety of local specialties as well as some new approaches to Tuscan food. Great wine options.
The staff was very nice and helpful. Would highly recommend spending a few days just to relax and enjoy the location.

We loved everything. The room had a great view, the bed was comfortable and the night was very quiet. Our host was very welcoming and relaxed. We would book it again.

The hosts were wonderful nothing was a problem, the last night they cooked us a beautiful Tuscan traditional dinner- delicious. The view of the rolling hills and the sweet chirps of the birds were wonderful background music.
Highly recommend this stay to guests reading my review.

Location was fine, thought the host would interact more with guests. Property was a bit unmanicured.

Wonderful experience! I don't know what to say first! A beautiful hotel, clean, spacious, wonderful smiling people and helpful. Sufficiently equipped spaces, traditional rooms with modern touches. The breakfast is handmade, rich, handmade jams, omelets from the chef and tarts made the same day. The lobby of the restaurant, the common area is wonderful, a large fireplace dominates the center, sofas and armchairs in different arrangements serve to relax and rest the visitor. The ping-pong table proved to be a lifesaver for the teenagers in our group, while the lovely staff took care of our drinks. The pool area is clean and beautiful, complementing the beauty of the landscape. The outdoor space is lovely, lush and well-kept. Tranquility, relaxation, the embodiment of "dolce far niente", in an idyllic landscape. Our stay there will be unforgettable. Wish we could have stayed longer.

I liked that the property was on a farm and that it was environmentally friendly and organic. Being near Seina meant the property was placed centrally and we were able to drive to the likes of Florence, Siena, Lucca and Arezzo all within slightly over one hour and yet be in a beautiful peaceful location for our evenings.

We had an absolutey amazing stay at Borgo San Luigi.
We had an absolutey amazing stay at Borgo San Luigi. The property is kept very clean with beautiful views, Tuscan trees, a pool and large lawns with cut grass to stroll or to relax in one of the many lounge chairs. When we arrived, we were met outside by Jasmine who was so welcoming and friendly. We knew immediately that we were going to enjoy our visit. She was so helpful with any request or questions we had and also to help with recommendations to visit farms and wineries in the area. The breakfast buffet was large with everything you would ever expect from a world class buffet and had a great atmosphere when getting the day started. Mario, our waiter in the restaurant, took great care of us. He is very professional, friendly and helped us with the delicious food and wine selections during lunch and dinner. Jhonny served us drinks around the pool during the day and at night he served in the lounge area which has a pool table and a fireplace. He was professional, friendly and also very funny. The owner introduced himself. He was always on site, making sure that all was clean and running smoothly. First Class all the way!!! What a great stay we had, we didn't want to leave and we can't wait to go back.

Romantic, ideal for people who want to rest in idyllic location surrounded by nature. Olive groves, hills and castle - like taken from the movies made in Tuscany region. Great for people who travel with pet. They organize weddings as well, so if you plan to get married in future I highly recommend this place.

It is a very nice, compact, attractive and historic little town. Good information on it available from the Information office. However, it can easily be seen in 2 hours or less (not counting local meals, etc).
oh my gosh! what an amazing stay! from the property and spectacular grounds to the beautiful, finely decorated room with fresh flowers and so much detail. The friendly and intelligent staff on their toes to make your stay memorable. All was in good taste and extremely generous. The hotel is set up in a converted convent so it has very spacious rooms, spread out in an old building with beautiful renovation in the rooms. oh and the breakfast was fantastic with beautiful views. most highly recommended!!
The house is a dream . Set in the Tuscany green , made of stone , spacious and clean , with everything you may need . The owner , Magdalena , will help u with anything you may need and she is really there for you . Grazie mille ! We used it as a base for our Tuscany daily excursions in Chianti and Val d Orcia villages . It was really the best choise .
No downsides . But note only this : You need to have a car . Without a car , better settle to a nearby town , instead of Tuscany countryside.
We stayed at Castle Pietraio for the first time almost 20 years ago with our then 5 and 8 year old children. That experience was so wonderful and certainly influenced our life-long appetite for similar historic accommodations. We were so delighted to come back to the Castle with our now grown children and experience its charm, comfortable accommodations, and perfect location. This property is such a great value and I highly recommend it for anyone looking to travel around Tuscany.
This is a beautiful and authentic historical wine resort in stunning surroundings, with elegant and very comfortable rooms. The owner and his staff are welcoming, and we enjoyed a wine tasting on our first day; the breakfast was excellent. There is also a great restaurant in walking distance (550m). The location is ideal for exploring the region by car (Florence, Siena, San Gimigniano, Monteriggioni, and many other beautiful places in the Chianti region).
Absolutely stunning location, very nice small hotel with personal touch and design in an old marvellous building and a beautiful tranquil garden. We enjoyed our stay very much, the staff was very warm and friendly. We had an excellent dinner at the restaurant opposite to the hotel and the breakfast at the hotel terrace was very nice as well. We really enjoyed our stay and we‘ll definitely come back during our next visit to Tuscany!
We loved the breakfast each morning and even when we had to leave early the next day (before breakfast started), Giorgia gave it to us the evening before so we didn't miss out!
Giorgia was so wonderful, as well as the rest of the staff, they provided such a personal experience.
The grounds were stunning, our room had a beautiful view of Monteriggioni and the vineyard. Would 100% stay here again
Fantastic place, a bit off the beaten track but you can feel the atmosphere of Tuscany. At the beginning we received the Girafe apartment (if I remember correctly) but for an additional fee we exchanged it for a larger one and it was definitely without flaws, spacious and comfortable. The host is helpful in everything. I highly recommend this place.
Beautiful property inside the walls of Monteriggioni. The hotel has wonderful Tuscan charm and was our most luxurious stay while walking the via Francigena. The staff and owner were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was wonderful sitting out in the garden. We would definitely recommend!!!
The flat was spacious and clean with good facilities. Quiet area. The host was very kind and reachable whenever we had a question and left tips for places to go and see /eat etc. Excellent located to explore Tuscany (very close to Siena). Very good and safe free parking.
Such a lovely place to stay while walking the Via Francigena. Big beautiful room with a view of one of the highlights, Monteriggioni, of the walk. Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Good restaurants very near as well. Do yourself a favor and stay here for a night!
beautiful historic building with nice renovation inside, everything you could possibly need to cook, do laundry, hang out. very spacious!! not super close to anything, but the BEST place to stay for exploring Tuscany by car.
Relais is nicely located with exceptional views on the surroundings including Siena. Some of the to-go-to places in Tuscany are located within driving distance near the resort. It is a place where you can truly relax.
The hotel is way beyond my expectation! The hotel staffs are helpful and nice. The hotel facility is very good. Room is warm and cozy with sufficient heating. Will definitely come back next time in Tuscany
We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment and it was very spacious and comfortable, the property is immersed in nature and very relaxing, the pool was a great spot to cool down and enjoy the scenery
