We booked this hotel last minute and the reviews are awful but we couldn't find anywhere else.
We had a large room at the front of the hotel overlooking a pizza restaurant. It was dated but I liked that. The bathroom was large and very clean.
There was some noise from the pizza restaurant at night but it didnt bother my sleep.
The staff were really friendly. Breakfast buffet is also included and it was nice, with a little outdoor patio to eat at, or a table in your room if you prefer. I would stay here again

EVERYTHING! This was our 5th stay at the charming Hotel Aurora since 2001. It is such a pleasure to see familiar faces, and incredibly enough, the staff remembers you, too! Hotel Aurora is a little paradise, located in the quiet corner of Amalfi, yet just a short walk to the bustling center of the city. Breakfast is served in a romantic terrace with flowers, lemon and orange plants and gorgeous sea views. The comfort and cleanliness are above and beyond! Rooms are spacious and bathrooms are decorated with colorful Vietri tiles.

Unfortunately, the Amalfi Coast is just too crowded.
Unfortunately, the Amalfi Coast is just too crowded. It is beautiful but even in a transition month (May), there were so many people that it is difficult to move around. Add to that they way Italians drive coupled with scooters up and down pedestrian walkways makes it way more stressful than such a beautiful place should be. Feels like you at Disneyland on a summer day.

Amalfi City provides superb access to the entire Amalfi...
Amalfi City provides superb access to the entire Amalfi Coast and boasts a variety of attractions within the city itself. During our visit, we explored the famous Paper Museum and its surrounding shops, and hiked up to the ancient Belvedere Monumental Cemetery. Our adventure extended past the cemetery to the neighboring town of Atrani, which is smaller and offers a more authentic, less tourist-centric experience. The extensive port area in Amalfi also offers numerous opportunities to embark on a boat and cruise along the Amalfi Coast to Positano or the island of Capri. Not to be missed is the grand Amalfi Church at the main square, Duomo di Amalfi, with its unique and stunning exterior, while the Church Museum grants access to important cultural and religious artifacts from the region.
Lining the shore, a host of charming restaurants provide opportunities to enjoy a limoncello or spritzer and bruschetta with views of the water. Among our favorites are the Terminal Restaurant, offering reasonable prices for wine and food adjacent to the bus stop, and Carlo Fiamma, which serves excellent pizza away from the usual tourist paths.

Great place to take a boat into Positano. Just be sure that Amalfi parking lots will be available when you pull into town with a car, sometimes the town of Amalfi does not let you pull into town and park unless you have a booking or the right license plate.

we stayed at this hotel suites for 3 night ,the rooms was very clean and tidy , we stayed on a city room which was up some 3 flights of steps to get to from the front door to the building and one flight of steps from the pavement below , no good for anyone who has a walking disability, we was given the wrong key so when returned from dinner could not get in to the room also , after ring reception as no one was on site , they let us in the room remoatly , [1st night ] then we got moved to room 1 of the other part of the hotel looking over the sea this room was on the side of the hotel and there was a bar underneath the hotel but on the other side of the road , and was open to 2am plus in the morning very noisy could not sleep and then the dustmen empty the bins around 4-30am more noise, the main door into the hotel is on a main road and you take your life in your hands, as there is no pavement but all in all ok ,and great located the rooms was big and shower very nice and big, our host was also very helpful
The location is amazing - on the rock right above the center of Amalfi, the view is breathtaking. You can sit on the balcony in the room, or in the terrace of the hotel, or lie near the pool and look at Amalfi coast below.
The hotel has its one private beach equipped by sun beds and umbrellas. Shuttle buses are delivering the guests to the beach and to the center of Amalfi and back. Access to the beach is arranged via lift, so you do not need to go down and up along stairs.
The staff is welcome and ready to help.
The view from the bedroom and living room is absolutely exceptional overlooking Amalfi's coastline. Angela met us at the door and provided tips and tricks to ensure an excellent stay. She went above and beyond in listening to our goals and helped to coordinate experiences that we weren't able to book online. The location is excellent and although there are 120 steps to get to the room, it didn't feel like too much at any point. We would recommend Angela and the apartment to anyone! 5 stars!
Fantastic location literally next to the ferry port, buses and taxi stands going to all the other towns along the Amalfi coast. Just around the corner from the Cathedral square with plenty of restaurants, shops and gelato places. It’s a flat town so no stairs to reach the hotel/town etc.
Enza was super helpful on What’s app and met me when my transfer arrived at the hotel. Cleaned daily and lots of thoughtful amenities like complimentary tea, coffee, water and drinks.
The experience at Palazzo was incredible for our honeymoon on the amalfi coast. Between the friendliness of staff, the location overlooking the beach, and the small boutique space, it made us feel at home while away from home. Renata at the front desk was an absolute treat alongside Elvira and Maria in the mornings brought the best breakfast and the biggest smile. They also upgraded our room as a nice surprise on our honeymoon. Will be back a thousand times over!
Property is beautiful and cleaned, amazing and lovely staff. Delicious breakfast everyday served at the terrace, rooms smell really good all the time. There are steps to go to the facility, something actually normal at the Amalfi Coast, however you can make it without steps using another way to get to the hotel. Rooms have nice balconies as well. i would recommend 100% to my family and friends this property if they ever decide to go and stay in Amalfi.
Residenza Amalphia is a hidden gem on the Amalfi Coast! This is a must-stay. From the attention to detail, warm hospitality, and comfortable rooms - I haven’t experienced anything quite like it. Gerardo was a super host and made us feel like we were part of the family. He was full of knowledge about the area and was very helpful in booking us a private boat tour, coordinating transfers, and making dinner reservations.
Solaria is a peace of heaven. It is run by a very friendly Italian family which will make you feel like in an exclusive boutique hotel. The location offers a magnificent view over the see and the Amalfi coast. The tasty breakfast includes quality products from the area freshly prepared in front of you.
The view over the Amalfi coast is epic from the balcony of this hotel. Staff were amazing, a lady even helped us to lift our luggage up the stairs. And on the following morning, another set of beautiful staff attended to us. Oh! I almost forgot the complimentary Cappuccino.
We didn’t like anything about the property. Yes the views are great, but so does all the other hotels on the Amalfi coast, so there’s nothing really special about that. Granted we’ve been on the Amalfi coast for 2 weeks and stayed at Villa Cimbrone in Ravello.
Good location although going to the hotel takes about 80-90 steps up.
Even though it's right near the hustle and bustle of the town the windows have good sound insulation so it's not noisy inside.
The view of the coast and beach from the room is also beautiful
A very comfortable space in the heart of the old town with stunning views of the bay. The breakfast provided at the bistro in the square was very good. A great place to explore the Amalfi coast with the ferry terminal just a short walk away. Good wi-fi.
The hotel is absolutely lovely. And the pool amenities are some of the best we had in the Amalfi coast. Don't take for granted the access to the sea that can be enjoyed from the hotel! We later found this to be really rare in our stays in Positano.
The view from the rooftop terrace was amazing! Captured both sea views and the duomo. Great location- close to the ferry port and bus stop. Beds were comfortable. A/C and washing machine were a bonus. Best place to stay on the Amalfi coast!
Although it’s a bit far from the center area, this hotel has a stunning view from the balcony.
It takes about 15mins to get to the center area by bus, we’ve walked there several time as we really enjoyed the view of Amalfi coast :)
Christian is a great source of information for planning trips, with bus and boats to explore the Amalfi coast.
The hotel has one side on a quiet square with a great restaurant La Perla.
It is up a little flight of stairs.
very central location which was perfect. staff did a great job. the price was totally worth it. it’s not a luxury 5 star hotel. Its a modest hotel but totally worth staying, especially with a view
The location offers fantastic views of the Amalfi town & coast and the facilities are excellent. The staff at reception and shuttle drivers were all great & very kind.
The hotel was cozy, nice and clean. It is situated on a main pedestrian street, but definitely not noisy at all. And the staff - the nicest people on the Amalfi coast!
Very friendly owners and staff, good breakfast on a nice terrace, very clean rooms. An excellent alternative to the overpriced hotels on the Amalfi Coast.
