Shout out to Tom on reception that made the whole check-in and experience very warm and welcoming. We stayed in one of the cottages, 2 couples and 2 dogs. Lovely room with a comfy bed, modern updated bathroom with one of the best hotel showers I have ever had. The room was spacious and decorated so nice! It felt cozy and luxurious. We loved the breakfast. You could tell it was made with love. Bonus that the food was all sourced from local farms in the area. Such an amazing value for a really unique experience. The property manager was kind, helpful, and check-in/ out was so easy! The property was in close proximity to Chatsworth house. Must stay location in the Peak District.

Superb dinner on the Sunday evening even if we had to walk it off over the Edges and along the River Derwent more than 11 miles the next day! The staff made our stay really special in such lovely surroundings and the Hall is in easy reach of the village of Baslow for pubs when their restaurant is not open and of course Chatsworth which we've visited several times. Highly recommended.

Beautiful location, a short stroll from Chatsworth House and a 4 mile walk to Bakewell. An uphill walk to Baslow Edge and the Eagle Stone, a nice circular walk to Grindleford. Three lovely pubs close by. The cottage is spacious with a lovely bath and a great place to sit beside the river with a morning tea. Hosts were great let us park early and brought us milk and bakewell tarts !

Myself, my husband and 6mo old son had a great stay! The lodge is really well set up and comfy, and has everything you'd need. It's in a very convenient spot and there are some lovely pubs, walks and farm shops nearby. The communication with the host was great - very friendly and provided useful tips, and very easy to follow instructions to get into the property. Would recommend!

Host couldn’t do enough for us, couple of issues which were sorted very quickly and without fuss. Spotlessly clean, and the photos don’t do it justice. Everything we needed was provided and Penny was amazing and so helpful. Close to Chatsworth, can walk there through the beautiful grounds. Very near to our family and has a pub and a shop opposite! What’s not to like?

Easily accessible location in nicely renovated farmhouse on the edge of the Derbyshire Dales with quick access to Sheffield and the peak district. Lovely room, with equally lovely shared bath (except there were not allowing it to be shared due to Coronavirus, so we had to ourselves). Lovely homemade snacks, tea and coffee left for us in the room.
