The atmosphere was amazing. The gardens were spectacular. The hotel itself was beautiful. The rooms were gorgeous, quiet, well thought out. The shower was really strong and adjustable for height. The breakfasts were top drawer and the restaurant in the evening was delicious. Overall couldn't of had a better stay!

Shout out to Tom on reception that made the whole check-in and experience very warm and welcoming.
We stayed in one of the cottages, 2 couples and 2 dogs. The place was spacious and comfortable, with comfy beds and well equipped kitchen. The sound of the running river by the window was an added bonus.

We would have liked to have had our evening meal there but the choices for meat free were poor tbh so all 4 of us went to the Italian down the road.

Baslow is a fab place. It has lots to offer, including The Cavendish Hotel, which is amazing! There are lots of places to eat, with a variety of styles. It is easy to get round Baslow. I don't need to avoid anything in Baslow, it's got everything I like.

A pretty village with a couple of independent shops, restaurants and pubs (can highly recommend the food at the Prince of Wales.) The main attraction is Chatsworth though which is fabulous and never disappoints!
Lovely room with a comfy bed, modern updated bathroom with one of the best hotel showers I have ever had. The room was spacious and decorated so nice! It felt cozy and luxurious. We loved the breakfast. You could tell it was made with love. Bonus that the food was all sourced from local farms in the area. Such an amazing value for a really unique experience. The property manager was kind, helpful, and check-in/ out was so easy! The property was in close proximity to Chatsworth house. Must stay location in the Peak District.
Superb dinner on the Sunday evening even if we had to walk it off over the Edges and along the River Derwent more than 11 miles the next day! The staff made our stay really special in such lovely surroundings and the Hall is in easy reach of the village of Baslow for pubs when their restaurant is not open and of course Chatsworth which we've visited several times. Highly recommended.
Beautiful location, a short stroll from Chatsworth House and a 4 mile walk to Bakewell. An uphill walk to Baslow Edge and the Eagle Stone, a nice circular walk to Grindleford. Three lovely pubs close by. The cottage is spacious with a lovely bath and a great place to sit beside the river with a morning tea. Hosts were great let us park early and brought us milk and bakewell tarts !
Myself, my husband and 6mo old son had a great stay! The lodge is really well set up and comfy, and has everything you'd need. It's in a very convenient spot and there are some lovely pubs, walks and farm shops nearby. The communication with the host was great - very friendly and provided useful tips, and very easy to follow instructions to get into the property. Would recommend!
The location was wonderful with fabulous views over Chatsworth Park and the roaming deer. Only a short (and very scenic) walk to Chatsworth House and to the pubs/restaurants in Baslow.
Room was spacious, very clean and comfortable.
Fantastic breakfast and lovely staff- I would highly recommend to anyone looking to spend a short break in the beautiful Peak District!
Host couldn’t do enough for us, couple of issues which were sorted very quickly and without fuss. Spotlessly clean, and the photos don’t do it justice. Everything we needed was provided and Penny was amazing and so helpful. Close to Chatsworth, can walk there through the beautiful grounds. Very near to our family and has a pub and a shop opposite! What’s not to like?
Easily accessible location in nicely renovated farmhouse on the edge of the Derbyshire Dales with quick access to Sheffield and the peak district. Lovely room, with equally lovely shared bath (except there were not allowing it to be shared due to Coronavirus, so we had to ourselves). Lovely homemade snacks, tea and coffee left for us in the room.
A charming hotel in a beautiful location with proximity to Chatsworth. Tasteful room with nice antiques, big bathroom and very good food in the restaurant with great local products. Excellent breakfast and dinner menu had a lot of interesting choice. The staff were super helpful and friendly
This is an exquisite hotel, located near Chatsworth.......you feel like nobility, after visiting Chatsworth and then staying here! It was a superb experience to do both. The hotel is gorgeous and the staff treat you like visiting royalty! We had dinner in the garden room and loved it.
Cleanliness and everything we needed was there. The bed was extremely comfortable too! It was right on the doorstep to Chatsworth Park and in such a quiet and safe location location. A short walk away were hotels and pubs for food and drink. It was such a lovely place to stay.
Cozy and modern apartment with everything you need for a short break. Easy distance from some beautiful walks and local pub/restaurants and village shops. Highly recommend the Devonshire Arms, amazing food and very dog friendly, the staff were lovely here too! Highly recommend!!!
The location was excellent. Lots of pubs and coffee shops nearby. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well provided and handy having a dish washer.
