The hotel staff were very polite and professional. The breakfast was very good and there was something for everyone. We chose to have dinner each night and had no complaints about anything. We would highly recommend The Horizon, and we would definitely go back.

All staff were very conscientious and courteous. The grounds looked outstanding and were very well taken care of .Would highly recommend!

Lovely big room, very comfortable and enjoyed the sea view. Husband had a swim a couple of times and enjoyed that especially as the weather wasn't great so having the pool made all the difference.
The food was excellent.

The town is not what it once was, but as someone born and bred in Ayr I have nothing to dislike about it. Loads of good places to stay and to eat for all tastes and expenses. Very easy to navigate around the town by car, lots of buses at regular intervals. 3 great golf courses if that's your thing, loads of nice walks along the river, beach and if you find it Craigie Park (great for picnics).

Although there is a selection of the bars, restaurants and shops, the town centre is sadly lacking. Many, many empty shops. Full of charity shops, nail bars and vape shops. Ayr used to be one of my favourite places. Sadly, unfortunately those days are long gone.

Not an awful lot to do especially for young people but Culzean Castle and Dumfries House worth a visit. We also enjoyed the Burns museum. Glasgow easy drive away. Ayr and other beaches would be great in warmer months . Best dinner was at Kirkton Inn, Dalrymple and best lunch at The Coo Shed
We ended up at the St Meddans Mews in Troon because The Lucas was unavailable. The Donnini team - Naomi, Natasha and Nicholas - were quick to respond, very helpful and informative.
The St Meddans property was lovely, newly refurbished with nice appliances and furnitures. The place was clean and quiet. It was easy to find parking on the street. Check-in and check-out instructions were easy to follow.
The town of Troon is a must visit place for those who wish to explore western Scotland. Local people were nice and friendly.
The location is fantastic easy walking access to Ayr beach and esplanade, likewise the city centre , ample parking near hotel.
The rooms are very spacious , comfortable (bed especially) tea and coffee ect.
The breakfast is outstanding freshly cooked , this was my third visit over 6 years and the standard has been the same ,
But by far the best feature has to be the staff and your host Linda nothing is to much trouble for them , will i return you bet I would ..thankyou again for a wonderful if brief stay ..
The hotel and room were both very clean. I stayed in a courtyard room, which had secure entry. The room was a great size, with an electric heater I could switch off and on, and the window opened slightly too.
The hotel is lovely, the building itself is gorgeous and the grounds are well maintained. Great buffet breakfast too! The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Nice bar. Great location to Ayr town centre, plus lots of parking.
The apartment is spacious with a lovely view. It's ideally located within easy reach of Ayr town centre and the beach.
There are two nice hotels nearby that are open to non-residents that serve good food and have a nice selection of drinks. There is also an Indian restaurant close by where we had a wonderful meal one evening.
The apartment has lovely grounds and is a true home from home.
The Savoy Park Hotel is a beautiful hotel in a good location close to town. The staff are helpful and friendly. Our room was lovely, very spacious, with a sofa and table and a big bathroom. Seperate bath and shower, great water pressure with lots of hot water. Very comfy bed and pillows. The downstairs bar area and dining room are authentic and welcoming. The breakfast was great.
The staff were very helpful and polite, the hotel was very clean and the location was very central, there is also a great pub called smiths right next door where you can watch the football and have a marvellous meal,we booked this hotel to go to Ayr races which was only a short taxi ride away,we will definitely book the mercury next time we go to Ayr 10/10.
For a "budget" hotel, this was exceptional. Very clean and had all the facilities we required for a short break. The staff are very friendly. The welcome was warm both from them and the many locals who use the smashing wee bar. That real cask ales were on sale from the on-site Ayr Brewing Company was an added bonus for us.
The hotel is a bit quirky in the layout .However the place was spotless and the staff were excellent but the highlight was the food .The food was superb a great breakfast followed by a fantastic evening meal
I will certainly stay there when I am next in Ayr
The hotel is situated on the sea front, hotel was lovely and the staff where very friendly, I didn't have anything from the menu as my husband doesn't keep well and wasn't in the mood for breakfast, hopefully next time we are back we will try the menu
The location is great, and parking was fine. The room was clean and had a coffee machine. As the hotel restaurant was closed fortunately there was plenty of restaurants were close for breakfast and other meals. It was a short walk to the beach.
Stunning apartment with excellent location in town centre and parking available. Spotlessly clean and Neil has thought of everything guests could need when furnishing his flat. We were all very comfy and cosy and just loved every minute of our stay.
Excellent stopover stay. Arriving late at night, we were literally drawn into a local wedding party. Very comfortable, quiet and spacious room in adjacent wing next to historic main building. Good in-house cuisine in the hotel's own restaurant.
Everything as usual..... beautiful room, clean, comfy bed, nice hot shower.... our 'go to' hotel when in Ayr. Excited to see the restaurant downstairs opening again and got a sneak peak....looks amazing. Will add to the already perfect hotel.
Room was so spotless quality soft furnishings and a super comfy bed, great breakfast and the hosting was brilliant. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a stay in Ayr. Also great location 2 ticks from the beach.
The location was excellent, the beach only a 5 minute walk away and the town centre also 5 minutes with lots of restaurants in easy walking distance, yet the accommodation was in a nice quiet street.
I have stayed here many times over the years whilst on business in Ayrshire. I know most of the staff well. The hotel is in a good central location and there is free parking.
Great room and breakfast, very nice and helpful staff. Plenty of parking and close to town centre. A relaxed dinner with some local food and chat from the staff.
