the hotel is clean and modern but I didn't like the design of the bathroom. Well, it’s still a matter of personal taste !

L'accueil, la disponibilité, la gentillesse de l'hôte.
The jagged coast of Normandy contrasts with the sharp lines created by Belgian architect Auguste Perret’s post-war modernist creation in Le Havre. The city encompasses an important port at the mouth of the Seine river that flows into the English Channel after passing through Paris.
St. Joseph’s Church rose from the ashes of World War II to become a striking symbol for Le Havre’s architectural awakening. The huge tower consists of a concrete outer skin complemented with a Neo-Gothic interior including coloured-glass windows letting in different shades of light.
The Andre Malraux Museum has a wonderful collection of artworks from the Impressionist period including paintings from Claude Monet and Pierre-Auguste Renoir. Wide open spaces and fountains are a feature of the square, one of the biggest in France, surrounding Hotel de Ville (town hall).
Sometimes referred to as the ‘Brasilia of France’, Le Havre incorporates the work of Brazil’s most famous architect, Oscar Niemeyer, in his creation Le Volcan. Spanning the river Seine is Le Pont de Normandie, an iconic cable bridge linking the city with Honfleur.
Most hotels and apartments on Booking.com are located in the compact city centre or around the train station.

Vibrant cafes and restaurants, good shopping facilities and easy rail and bus access to other areas. The promenade has been tidied up, looks very elegant and stylish. Ideal for watching ships enter harbour. I particularly enjoyed the port tours by Vedettes Baie de Seine., running three times per day in season. MuMa (Museum of Modern Arts) on the front is worth a visit too.

A very pleasant surprise - a nice looking city with lots of great bars and restaurants and amazing architecture. A must visit to Saint Joseph church and Niemayer plaza. I can recommend a place to eat - and watch sports - called "La grande ecole" - a huge school transformed to a bar-restaurant-pub-sports bar - community center - kids playground.

The centre of Le Havre is a unique place, which is why it has UNESCO designation. With its lengthy waterfront, there is lots to explore. The people we met in the Office de Tourisme and at visitor attractions were very welcoming. The city is easy to get around, with the trams and network of buses running frequently and at low fares. In the evenings, we found some very good restaurants and bars to spend our time. Overall, a city we'd definitely recommend, and with luck, may return to one day.

Le Havre is not a tourist place at all.
Le Havre is not a tourist place at all. It is a nice place to sleep over due to the Hotel's availability. We went to sleep there because the prices and quality is better than Etretat. About the beach, the North Sea wind is always there. Cold water also so don't expect a nice beach day in Le Havre.

When we drove into Le Havre, we thought it was awful as you pass a large oil refinery and a lot of industrial buildings and then there is a lot of 1960 type architecture related to the rebuilding after the war so it was not inviting. However after we got settled and walking on the beach and around the downtown, we discovered it was a lovely place to visit. It is also a great central location to travel east and west from to see the rest of the Normandy coast.

Le Havre is great, I really enjoyed the city. saturday night is buzzing everyone is out and there are bars with tables out on the pavement that are all busy. it's not a typical tourist town so there are no souvenir shops - in fact, there are not really any tourists which is quite refreshing. the bars and restaurants are friendly and welcoming.
we stayed downtown and in every direction we went we ended up in a great place! whether it was in the uni district, the local bars downtown, or st vincent near the beach, we got the train to Rouen which was easy to do and 50 mins on the train.
all round had a great time.
First the localization of the hotel is great, near by restaurants, shops and a cinema.
The main highlight of the room is the shower, with led light different colors and various water jet.
And of course the control of the room with the ipad, it's a special thing and quite different than regular hotel.
You can also check the level of the water after your shower, great information.
The view of Le Havre was great.
The Hôtel Le Marignan looks like it might have seen slightly better days; a few things are broken (like the bracket for the shower head) and other things look a little tired. But the staff are very friendly and accommodating, the beds are extremely comfortable, the breakfast is pretty good and the location is good - particularly good if you need access to the train station.
The apartment was very comfortable and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay in Le Havre. We so enjoyed the expansive view of the waterway—watching the sailboats, cargo ships, and cruise ships enter and exit the harbor. We also appreciated the attention to detail and the clear instructions for using the amenities and entering and leaving the building.
Very clean, from train station to the hotel $7-8 , from cruise $14-15. It’s ok just for simple stay.
No US phone port chargers, u need to bring charges. I asked front desk, he provided one , very helpful front desk guys. No hair dryer, coffee pot or tea etc and hand soup. Mirror is hard to reach in bathroom, not very convenient for women do make up etc.
Very central, very well decorated, all you need is there. The owner was nice and getting the key was easy and flexible as it is with a lock box.
The apartment is in one of the best spots in Le Havre, 2 mn foot to the seaside, 5 mn walk to the center and literally in front of the church St Joseph.
I would recommend!
Friendly hosts, well equipped apartment in a very central but quiet location in the centre of Le Havre close to many shops and restaurants. Parking is posssible in the nearby Les Halles car park, in the evening parking slots without charging can also be found easily in neighbouring streets (at least in August).
Very nice and available host. Easy to pick up drop off keys. The location is great you are close to the beacj (15 mins) and also in a part of Le Havre full of restos and bars. Small screen smart tv and sound system, easy to connect and good wifi.
Easy parking just in front, though with parking fee.
Easy road access and free parking on the street as we were there on a Sunday and public holiday the following day. Central location, easy to walk everywhere. Access when we arrived was via phoning to obtain an entry code - went very smoothly. Interesting 1950's decor, a feature of the hotel.
The hotel is right next to the train station, it's nice and clean and has a good parking (10 eur).
The room is small, the shower is in the room.
There are some "smart" controls.
The bed is comfortable, there are great black out curtains. The breakfast is ok.
The hotel is at the station so it's accessible to the whole city and surrounding countryside. The room was compact but perfect for one person . It was clean and comfortable. The staff were all very friendly. The best thing was value for money.
Great location in Le Havre, the accommodation was within walking distance of the town and beach. The accommodation was quiet, had private parking behind a locked gate and all the facilities you need including a small kitchen and bathroom.
The hotel was really charming. Breakfast was a feast, parking was free and nearby. It was an easy walk down the hill to the harbor and beach at Le Havre. The room was very comfortable. The hostess was engaging and very helpful.
best budget for a nightly stay in Le Havre.
The staff at the check in was very friendly and helpful!
