Highly recommend Sonia’s Chambre d’Hotes. If booked in advance she offers a parking space in her single car private garage. Sonia is charming and our room had a mezzanine lounge which was great.

Convenient location by train station. Super clean, fully equipped and amazing views from the balcony! Highly recommended!
Boasting a balcony with city views, a garden and a terrace, LOFT sous un ciel étoilé 2/4 pers can be found in Foix, close to Foix Castle and 6.5 km from Underground River of Labouiche.
A quiet, commuter sort of city. During our stay, the castle and the trail to the terrases overlooking the city were unfortunately closed, and likely will be well through 2024. This area would be much better to explore with a car to access the parks and farther out points. As it was, this stop was a letdown on our trip and our time would have been much better spent elsewhere.

In the center of the city of Foix there is a famous medieval castle, which is currently being renovated. Next to it there is a nice museum. Surrounding ancient part of the city is very pleasant. There are a lot of small shops and places to eat. There is a trail up to a nearby plateau with an excellent view of the castle and the city of Foix and of surrounding area. There are a lot of interesting places around Foix: the Devil's bridge, a forge with a museum, an underground river, and several castles.

A charming city with many interesting old buildings some of which have been renovated and some of which need renovation.
It is well-provided with restaurants; we had good food in Le Vertigo and the Bar Auberge Miranda.
It was unfortunate that the Chateau was closed due to the installation of an elevator - it should be open for summer 2024.

I was charged twice for the room.
I was charged twice for the room. Once through Booking and then by the Hotel; I don’t speak French and the manager didn’t or didn’t want to speak English. So I paid twice
Later on American Express resolved the issue; I had paid twice.
I would NOT recommend this hotel

Foix is closed on Mondays, so do not plan to visit the castle on Monday. There is was little to see or do in the town. Restaurants close very early and are not open on Mondays. The Visitors' Center offered a suggested visit to Forges. It filled some time. We were also caught in Foix when a General Strike was called. The town has very little to offer tourists besides the castle. A better castle to visit is located in Carcassone, just a short drive away.
The studio was perfect for my 1-night stay in Foix. It's very small, but still has everything you need: a fully equipped kitchen, and a small table to have breakfast at. Everything was renovated and well maintained, and it was super clean. The breakfast in the fridge was a nice touch. I had no problems finding parking on the main street and was able to walk in to the center of Foix in less than 15 minutes. Great value for money!
Everything about this place was just perfect! Sonia is such a lovely host and welcomed us and gave some advice regarding the town and restaurants etc. Breakfast in the morning was also really good and in a lovely dining space.
The room itself was very well equipped and amazingly well located! Right beside the castle and in the old town of Foix. If visiting the area again we will definitely be back :)
Wow what a spectacular and special place,! So charming and the views from the place were amazing - we spent the first 5 or 10 minutes snapping photos from the room! It's right in the medieval part of Foix, close to everything. The proprietor was very kind and patient, especially helping us park in the garage (not easy!) I really loved the place - a real treat!
Jackie was lovely. She made us a good breakfast every day and spent time chatting with us (which made me work on my French!). She is an artist, so the studio was beautifully decorated with art. Pretty little enclosed garden. Location is right in the center of Medieval Foix, which meant we could walk everywhere. Lots of cafes, restaurants, shops.
room was very clean as was the hotel and the swimming pool is a bonus a secure garage for our motorcycle was also very good. the breakfast was also very nice and good value to room was very quite as was the air con. they do serve very nice artisan beers
Good location for exploring Foix, Labouiche underground river, castles and countryside. Friendly and sympathetic staff. Clean and well equipped for a pleasant stay (air conditioned is a must). Deck with a stove, refrigerator and kitchenware. Quiet.
The hotel is very centrally located in Foix, closed to all the amenities and the touristic spots, as well as within walking distance from the train station. The staff were keen to help us with the storage of our bags prior to our stay.
Nice hotel in a great location. We got there early - before 1pm and were able to store our bikes and luggage for a couple of hours before we checked in.
Breakfast was simple standard fare, but very good.
This hotel is a bit outside town, however, its on the lake. The beds were clean, comfortable and the water in the shower was hot!
The staff were very helpful and extremely friendly.
Perfect location for an overnight stop and to walk into Foix for a meal. Modern spacious clean rooms, stairs could be a problem for some people. Would definitely recommend.
The location was awesome, probably in the most centric street of the town, close to everything and it felt like living in the real Foix. The apartment was well appointed.
Simple room, nothing special but clean and perfect for a night on a road trip. Renovated bathroom. Outside Foix, but for US it didn't matter as we had a car
