We like the visit of the old part of the town visiting Abbaye the St. Gall , the historical buildings. Visit to the textile musuem was interesting. We wish more restaurants were open on a Sunday night.

Very beautiful medieval town.
Very beautiful medieval town. One of the five most impressive and libraries in the world. The city has plenty of activities to choose from. Easy to walk around, full of nice restaurants with good beer and good food. Nice train station from which one can go on a one-day Appenzell trip.

Abby’s library was the best visit ever.
Abby’s library was the best visit ever. I’ve learned a lot (explanations were interesting and not too many info) and it is beautiful. Interior of the cathedral is unusually bright. Strolling through the old town was beautiful experience.

Manager is very eager to please and arranged for early check-in at my request. Our rooms were attractive, included fridges. Also quiet with balconies and an attractive view. Good central location. We also had a surprisingly good dinner at Nett's restaurant just down the street. I was only looking for an average beer garden but it instead offered excellent food, wine and service in a very attractive garden. All four of us were very happy.

I asked the local free public transportaion cards. The Hotel gave it to me by email. When I arrived the room I found that some part of the curtain rail was broken. Actually I didn't care much about it. And the manager simply answered "Ok, we will fix that". And when I returned, it was fixed. I think this is impressive. Everything was very well explained, they provided us with umbrellas and a really close parking space. The hotel was really clean and silent, we had a great sleep. It was close to every where, the bathroom looked brand new and it was super clean. It also had a good breakfast, we’d definitely recommend staying in this hotel.
