We had a fantastic stay (5 nights) at Lala Land Lodge. Frida and Ben are the lovely, super friendly and chilled couple who run this small family eco-lodge located in beautiful surroundings right in front of the sea. The staff is ultra nice and helpful. We especially loved Hawa with her beautiful energy and professionalism. She is pure sunshine. It is a place that is especially suited for those who seek peace and tranquility as it is a bit secluded. We had delicious and very nutritious breakfasts included with our stay and the rest of the food is excellent and the portions generous. The pool is a mix of salt water and fresh water which we found way better than chlorine pools. Note that for the showers and sink it’s the same. But you are provided with buckets of fresh water to rinse. Basically, we highly recommend Kizimkazi and Lala Land Lodge.

A beautiful beach front lodge in the fishing village of Kizimkazi. Perfect for a quiet getaway. The staff are very helpful and go out of their way to make you comfortable. For its remote location the facilities such as food, accomodation, internet and hot water in the shower were surprisingly good.

This place has an amazing ambient and a beautiful soul! It was like a hub for the coolest people from every country, looking for a peaceful, extremely relaxed vacation in a bit of wilderness, heartfelt conversations with alcohol next to the fire… it’s all in the package, and as a bonus you get one of the best teams - owners and staff members that are right there for you literally every minute.
Thank you all guys- Benjamin, Annick, Cliffton, Melania, Elisabeth and others whose names we did not get to know;) You were all so amazing that even after two weeks it was a pity to leave. We look forward to meeting you all again!
PS. A big thanks to Cliffton for recommending us Malaika, We enjoyed it to the fullest ;-)

It’s a very quiet and enjoyable place and you can book lots of activities from there but overall there is not much going outside the hotels. The public beach doesn’t have any good restaurants or shops so you’re pretty much tied to your resort.

The location is more quiet then other places, they do not have a beach like Kendwa but it you are just looking to relax a couple of days this does not matter. It is like on a little cliff, sooo nice!

Kizimkazi is a village, although in fact there are 2 distinct and separate areas, with 2 beaches. The rest of the area is comprised of large, private self-contained resorts with their own private stairways.
There is not much to explore, but boat owners offer big-game fishing and dolphin-watching.
There are only 2 restaurants, although some of the private resorts offer their restaurants to the public; but at a price.
Hardly any touting which is nice;
3 or 4 days is probably sufficient to see all there is to see.

Place was very clean, food was nice and staff were very friendly, always available to assist
They also organized transport for us to travel around
Pete(Rasta man) was very friendly and he gave me some plants to bring to South Africa, I have them in my garden now
Morning shower was terrible, water was always cold and it seemed like their geyser or boiler was faulty
We booked for 1 week - all inclusive and thank God we did because everything was insanely expensive.
The staff were always friendly and the hotel activities were a lot of fun (painting classes, aqua aerobics etc). The room was nice, with a beautiful view of the sea and a nice shared pool (shared between 2 other rooms).
The buffet was in general mediocre - depending on the day you could say it was enjoyable. The drinks at the bars were also ok although quality varied greatly depending on the bartender.
the gym is nice as well as the pool
The lodge is located at the very end of Kizimkazi, in a quite area, surrounded by nature. An ideal place to relax completely It also has a private beach with sunbeds, hammocks and a fireplace. The accommodation itself are all made of coconut leaves and wood, making you feel like you're sleeping in a huts. The owners, Sandrine and David are absolutely lovely and accommodating. So it the staff. Nice food and very complete and delicious breakfast. Highly recommend it here if you want some peace and quite and a good connexion with nature.
I love how intimate and small this boutique hotel is. The rooms are beautifully decorated and my stay was extremely comfortable. Housekeeping is so attentive with the evening turn down service. The food was amazing here, I loved the daily breakfast it was so delicious.
This is the perfect place to stay if you want a holiday full of rest and relaxation. I loved all the little and different sitting areas overlooking the water.
Everyone working here is truly attentive and wanting you to have the best stay.
Shani is a wonderful host. A one in a million combination of super relaxed and incredibly attentive. She made our stay SO easy and helped us with literally everything we needed. The property is lovely but I cannot stress enough how great she made our stay and she knows lots of people nearby who can help make your stay here incredible whether it’s food, transport, places to go, recommendations or logistics she is a fountain of knowledge and her and her staff team made our time in Kizimkazi awesome!
the staff is very very cool and friendly, you feel at home😃
the owners are super chilled, its always a pleasure to sit and talk to them about everything and nothing

the place is lovely a also colourful at night, its pretty nice
the swimming pool is quite big and clean
the food is great too, go for the tuna wrap and chocolate mousse with the passion sauce
breakfast is also great and filling with the fruits, juice, crêpe and chapati
The staff and manager were incredibly helpful, nice and tried their hardest to make us feel welcome. Restaurant has a pretty decent selection of multiple cuisines and everything is tasty, especially their cake!
The hotel is located on first line with direct exit to beach. Perfect for watching sunset with a nice cocktail!
We had a special reason for our trip, and they went on extra lengths to make our stay special. Definitely would stay here again!
The pool! Hands down the best swimming pool I have ever swum in.
We loved the setting, the quiet and the peace of Kizikula was really special. The bathroom was enormous and modern. The beds comfortable.and the room clean. The landscaping of the hotel is really special, you feel a milion miles from the stresses of daily life.
The staff were friendly and attentive.
Paradise spot. Beautiful setting leading onto stunning beach. Loved the outdoor gym and hammocks all set on a sandy area.
Excellent dinner and breakfast - freshly made and tasty. Room was basic but clean and functional. Very friendly staff, too. Check-out was 11am but they invited us to stay in the resort as long as we wanted after checking out. Really fautless.
-the location of the hotel is very nice, calm and relaxing private beach from a few minutes walking distance from the hotel (although the way to the hotel from the airport is very long and the overall road conditions are very poor)
-the food is very good, lot of choices of international and local dishes, the restaurant staff is very nice and helpful
if you looking to disconnect and relax in a quiet beach front place check out this place. very nice location, best view ever, room was clean, food was amazing and most importantly for me the hosts (Sarah and Omar) were amazing…. definitely must visit again
Clean hotel with nice beach and pools surrounded all over rooms with very nice and kind staff as miss Kezia , mr. Bonny, lovely Salma , Mwansuda and Ibrahim thank u all for making our stay memorable and we definitely see u soon again ❤️
The property is very green, nice to walk around or ride bike. The common pool is big and beautiful. The villas are secluded and nobody is bothering you. We chose this hotel for our honeymoon and we can say it was the best choice.
This is a very small (4 rooms only) newly opened hotel just at the waterfront with private access. It's calm and relaxing. The staff is helpful. I had all my dinners in the hotel.
Place was great , eco friendly , staff was above expectations ( Casious , Bashir, Mubarak ) , food was one of the best we had in zanzibar , very cozy place for honeymoon
