Indian Ocean Lodge, hotel in Grand Anse

Situated along the sandy Grand Anse Beach, Indian Ocean Lodge features an outdoor swimming pool, restaurant and poolside bar. It also offers free private parking.

Good location on the Grand Anse, parking place included, the room we recieved was wonderful and very confortable. It has a balcony with view to the ocean but in the shades of the palm treas, equiped with own bed & chairs, it is a good spot to drink a coffee/tee which is free available in the room. Bed is big and confortable. Storage options are sufficent & for the values there is a safe. Air conditioning works fine. Tv wifi ok. There is a small fridge (minibar, but it was without bevrages) you can store & cool you own drinks, water etc. you bought. Today the hotel has 3 stars, but they explained they are planning to upgrade to 4 in the next monthes. We tried the breakfast, lunch & diner as well. The food is delicious and the prices are reasonoble compared to other restaurants. Hotel staff is very friendly they are always ready to help & support in anything you need.

I liked staying at Grand Anse, it has a sense of a small community but not a noisy one. One has to take either a rent a car or a bus. We rented a car for one day only, enough to see the island, and we took one bus ride No 61 around the island. Bus ride should be a must for everyone. Excellent experienced driver but the ride is not for lighthearted.

It's a good location to view the entire island from.

It's a good location to view the entire island from. If you're going to use bus transportation there are enough options. A couple of fine shops are there, and a couple of restaurants. The airport is there but you don't even here it. You have a good beach for swimming.

beautiful beaches which are not overcrowded, safe streets which tourists can walk in safely even at night. lots of beaches to experience and lots of other Islands to visit, it was a wonderful experience. transport using the bus around the Island is easy and cheap using the very efficient bus service. I loved going on the ferry to La Digue loved everything there the beaches the small shopping area, and food stalls very memorable day, the beach there was like nothing I have ever imagined in real life very picturesque with the granite rocks it was by far the highlight of my whole stay.

Grande Anse itself has a good beach for safe snorkelling round the rocks, a small convenience store and good snack bar. Quiet and off the beaten track. Frequent bus service, but recommend a car. Praslin is small enough to get around in an hour, superb beaches, swimming, snorkelling. Well worth a guided tour of one of the forest walks - get a personal guide for a very reasonable price.

We loved the two weeks stay.

We loved the two weeks stay. Its nearby Praslin airport about 10 mins drive (taxi organised with appartments prior arrival). Arrived and been welcomed by very friendly receptionist. She was very helpful, and help us with local transport, gave us timetable (bus directly in front of the apartments-perfect), organised few trips for us, including boat trip with La La Boat Charter, crew on this boat very professional and friendly. The apartments are very clean and spaces, we loved the hard bed, we woke up with back pain free every day. Lovely view over the sea. All of the staff very friendly, professional and helpful. Local shops near by too. Missing them all already.
