I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Mura during my visit to Pyeongchang for the 2024 GangWon Winter Youth Olympic Games in January 2024. I must say that my experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the hotel's prime location to the warm and genuine hospitality, everything exceeded my expectations.
Firstly, the location of the hotel was simply perfect. Situated in the heart of Pyeong Chang town, it offered easy access to all the major attractions and landmarks. A simply 5 minutes drive will arrive the Pyeong Chang Winter Olympic Museum.
From the moment I walked into the hotel, I was greeted with a warm welcome and made to feel right at home.
The reception staff was incredibly helpful and provided valuable information about the city. They were always available to answer any questions or assist with any requests, making the overall experience truly personalized and enjoyable.
The room itself was spacious, clean, and well-appointed. It had all the necessary amenities to ensure a comfortable stay.
Overall, my stay at [Hotel Name] was fantastic. The combination of its prime location and the genuine hospitality extended by the staff made it a memorable experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Pyeongchang and looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay. I can't wait to return and experience it all over again.

The location was perfect and we received an upgraded newly decorated room. Missed the view on the slopes tough.

The facilities for kids were great. The food was out of this world and I mentioned this to the chef at breakfast.

Howard the host made our stay very pleasant, there is nothing that he would not do to help us. I felt sorry for our friends that paid twice as much as us to stay at the resort and miss out experience that Howard was able to gave us.

The hotel was basic, room and bathroom were very small.
The hotel was basic, room and bathroom were very small. The hotel staff were not very helpful in offering information about restaurants and cafes nearby. Spa and sauna are not included in the room price. The hotel is 1.5 km from downtown, so if you prefer to have some restaurant options stay elsewhere. Shuttle bus to/from airport and sky Centers were very useful.

The water park was not very big but it was good enough for family trip. I don't recommend it to young people who are expecting more exciting attractions. The pool bar was offering only few foods but it was interesting experience to eat and drink in the pool. Couldn't go up to the peak due to the bad weather but I will try getting on the cable car next time.

The entire Phoenix resort was redecorated/overhauled, but the access to the ski slopes could have been organized better (more mats, more snow, more slope entrances) near the Pheonix resort as to carry all of the ski equipment for several tens of meters.

Fantastic skiing slopes close by the hotel/resort location of Phoenix. Good and sufficient outdoor and indoor parking availability. A CU convenient shop in the hotel makes is easy to buy some small food or other necessities. The room view is excellent and a small terras allows some fresh airing. or cloth drying when needed. Sufficient ski equipment rental is available at hand, no need to bring anything. Renting and ticketing (RFID) is easy and convenient. Prices are reasonable for a whole day and evening skiing fun.

Beautiful area, no wonder was selected to host the Winter...
Beautiful area, no wonder was selected to host the Winter Olympics. Surprisingly, not very high mountains, only up to about 1500's meters, but very cold. Even in late December, they had (man-made, of course) snow. Tubing was also fun to do. A small animal farm with sheep and alpacas. Easy access by bus or train from Seoul.
I've been travelling in Asia since December and have stayed in at least 42 rooms. This is the best value accommodation I have stayed in. The room was very clean, very comfortable and had everything I needed. The room I was in even had a full-sized fridge & a washing machine. It is right in the centre of town; a short walk to the bus station. You can catch a free shuttle bus to Yongpyong ski resort from very nearby. The reception were helpful & friendly and the cleaning staff superb.
This was a really great trip!
So glad that I chose this wonderful place to stay. Mistress of pension was so nice to us, really help with any questions during trip and can speak English as fluently as Korean. Also this place provides a big discount to ski gear and ski pass to nearby ski resort “Phoenix” and also free transfer.
Can’t imagine a better place for this price. We will definitely come back again. Thank you ^^
The hotel is a little isolated - a 30min walk to the nearest town, but there is a small convenience store and some small restaurants in the hotel complex.
The free shuttle bus from the railway station ( 30 min drive) and to and from the ski slopes (15 min drive) was great. The staff in the hotel ski gear rental shop were very helpful and the rates definitely cheaper than at the slopes for gear and lift tickets.
We went there during the Youth Winter Olympics. Wonderful place, the friendly host always available and helpful. Everything was warm and clean. It's located a bit outside the town, but within walking distance, about a kilometer. Much more enjoyable than a hotel, and more economic since you can prepare your own meals. Perfect if you travel with kids and need a bit space.
Location was very nice. Unfortunately it was raining when we were there but there was still enough to see and to do. I recommend the restaurant in the 3rd floor of Phoenix Hotel. The Luge Racing is expensive but fun, albeit the korean safety rules do disallow almost all fun. Dont miss the all you can drink splash party. Drinks are served until 21h only, though.
Location was decent, kind of out of the way but near enough to the ski resort and little shops. There was a CU in the basement - very nice and convenient. The room was clean and well appointed. I liked the large shower and the heated floors. Parking in the basement - great, convenient. The restaurant in the hotel had surprisingly excellent Italian food.
The hotel was clean and staff were very nice. The decor was very cool with Olympic themed items. The kids play area was nice and the pool was warm. We had a problem with the race car bed breaking and the hotel was very understanding and got us a new room.
The accomodation and surroundings. We dont have to go to other ski resort to enjoy our snow experience. Here, they have all that is needed to be fun and leisure. And its privacy and not crowded at all.
This is a nice hotel located close to restaurants and coffee shops as well as a short walk to the bus terminal. It's a simple hotel with very few amenities, but a good value.
Location is good as it’s next to the ski slope. Apartment has everything one needs for a comfortable stay. There are restaurants and cafe within the ski resort too.
