The staff were friendly and very helpful in helping us with places of interest and transport. Location was amazing and the view from our room fantastic. There is a restaurant downstairs where we had a great traditional Italian meal, with a very friendly proprietor and his wife. Great breakfast with plenty of variety. Good, free parking. Quiet for being on the Amalfi Coast with good access to all the places you would want to visit - Scala, Ravello, Minori, Maiori, Amalfi and Pompeii.
Hotel La Margherita - Villa Giuseppina is located in the hills above the Amalfi Coast. It offers air-conditioned rooms with balconies or terraces and panoramic views, private bathroom and TV.

The hotel is called Palazzo Pascal Luxury Experience and it is all about luxury. Our room was beautiful and clean. The terrace was amazing and we were given a complimentary bottle of bubbles to enjoy on the terrace. We loved our bath tubes and slippers and the lovely quality toiletries. We will definitely be back.

The host was very quick to respond and helped us out when we left our keys in the room by accident. We really appreciated his hospitality.

Scala is lovely and Ravello walkable If you are fit.
Scala is lovely and Ravello walkable If you are fit. The bus service to Amalfi and Ravello could be a little erratic. Having a car is more of a hinderance than a help. Restaurants and cafes are available. San Lorenzo Cathedral is worth a visit. They still use mules to deliver goods etc in the village. A very quaint town

There is only 1 restaurant and a pizzaria in the village.
There is only 1 restaurant and a pizzaria in the village. The shops are very basic but you should be able to get most things if you self-cater. It is easy to get to Ravello by bus (tickets must be purchased in advance from the "card shop"). Ideally you need your own transport as the terrain is very hilly. It is expensive to get to and from the airport by taxi.

Great little town, quite and off the busy Amalfi coast towns with a nice view. Having a car really helped. There was a great restaurant within a 20 minute walk of our B&B. You need to be in good shape to walk around, as very hilly.

Scala is quiet, authentic and charming, with beautiful views of Ravello and the Amalfi coast everywhere you go. There are a few decent café and restaurant options, mostly in the town center. This is a steep mountain village so having a car to go up and down the switchback slopes is highly recommended. Finding parking in the small town center was never an issue, not even in the middle of July.

Scala is a small, unspoilt town with several bars and restaurants on the main road. Further restaurants are dotted through the town, Zio Peppe was a great find up in the hills and Il Pinguino serve great food. Da Pietro snack bar in the town square has great views across the gorge and serves the best Aperol spritz.
If you want to explore further there is a great picnic area at Parco Paradiso, hidden high up in the hills, where you can bring your own food to cook on wood burning grills and pizza ovens with nothing but the sound of nature.
There is a regular bus service to Ravello and Amalfi and also a walking route down to Amalfi.
Parking spaces marked with blue are pay-parking.

Higher up the hill.
Higher up the hill. Little village with view at Ravello and the Amalfi Coast, enjoy living between the locals. Just at walking distance you find Restaurants serve local dishes. We eat at Ristorante Il Pinguino, delicious dishes and pizza. In the morning we took the dog for a walk and met the donkeys in the narrow alleys op hill where you find a beautiful view over the coastline.
I loved everything about my stay. The property was situated among the iconic terraced gardens of the Amalfi Coast, offered an amazing view of the sea and of Ravello, included a relaxing outdoor area, and was a short walk to the center of Scala. The place felt like home- it had everything that I needed, and the hosts went out of their way to make me and my dogs feel comfortable and welcome. They helped me navigate the Amalfi Coast and the things it has to offer. They truly made the stay a special one.
The lady running the accommodation was very helpful and welcoming.
The hotel itself was situated in a lovely quaint area within walking distance of nice restaurants and a popular wedding venue in Ravello. The room had a large balcony with an exceptional view of the hills and sea, while avoiding the touristy chaos of Amalfi.
While I normally pick a more modern style of accommodation, the wooden beams and traditional bathroom suited the general feel of the area and created an authentic ambience.
Great location, beautiful view across to Ravello, big terrace with lots of sun. There is no pool on the property yet, but one is being built soon, and in the meantime guests can use a pool at a hotel next door. Carla and Sasa were very helpful and responsive, even promptly bringing us charcoal and lighters for the barbeque on our terrace when we inquired. The property is beautifully landscaped, with many flowers, vines, lemon trees etc so that it is just a lovely place to be.
Location is outstanding and walking distance to another nearby town called Ravello. Beautiful town and offers everything. The hotel staff were extremely nice and they tried their best to help. Breakfast was excellent.
I need to take a moment to express my thanks and appreciation to (Francesca) she’s not only the front desk person but also the restaurant, cleaning and any other area within the Hotel. Extremely nice, knowledgeable and very helpful
Staff was very welcoming and ready to help with any questions you might have. Our room was spacious with big terrace and stunning view of Ravello. Scala is perfect starting point in exploring Amalfi coast in our opinion. You are located exactly in the middle, but in quite town, away from the crowd and with refreshing forest air.
Also, everything was sparkling clean and breakfast was just great with fresh vegetables from local garden.
Room is huge and modern, with ceramic decor typical of Amalfi Coast. Bathroom is big and modern with a spacious shower. Bed is really comfortable.
The hotel is nice and staff is hepfull and very gentle. Rooms have a balcony with a breathtaking view of the Amalfi gulf you hardly find in other accomodations. Same view is available in the breakfast area of the hotel.
Breakfast has a nice selection of both sweet and savory food.
Amazing view. Located in Scala that provides a more peaceful location and yet, short walk or drive to Ravello and Amalfi. Hotel is at a cliff with amazing views. The hotel facilities are great. Rooms are clean and breakfast is rich and tasty. But as always, the staff is the important thing. Always in attention, helping, making all that is possible to give you the royal treatment and little pleasures
It was fascinating! Hotel location is top of the Scala and you must use car or motorbike to reach hotel.
Panaroma is fantastic and our accommodation was honestly perfect. Katia and her Mom's are very hospitable and they were help us for any kind of our needs.
And the last important topic is breakfast! I still remember, croissant smell and delicious breakfast. Thanks for everything.
Very beautiful place,
Incredible view on Ravello (it must be amazing to swim in the pool when its warm with this view!),
friendly staff and confortable room and beds.
Accessible by bus
For visitors enjoying to walk, great path going from Scala to Minuta and Pontone (beautiful view on the Torre dello Ziro) - Then nice path to Atrani.
We had a wonderful stay at Villa Giuseppina. The staff are all absolutely wonderful. The location is great. Scala is a lovely quite town and feels more ‘Italian’ than a lot of the big tourist spots. Ravello is gorgeous and close enough to walk to. The pool area is beautiful and the breakfast views are spectacular.
Fantastic apartment and view is super super super good. We had wonderful 3 nights here with family and friend, there are lovely lemons around a us. And also there is one 5 stars hotel with nice food. Hosts prepared fruits and snacks for us, thanks again!
The location was great, close to Ravello, 1 hour walk to Amalfi or Atrani... great personal. Super and breath taking view of the Ravello city and a part of sea in the direction of Atrani. We had a free hotel parking.
The hotel was beautiful!!! The owners and staff were amazing! We absolutely loved everything. It was extremely clean and organized. We had a beautiful view from our room and the home made food was DELICIOUS!!
The apartment was very clean, spacious & new with great views. Valentina was a delight to chat with. She was also very helpful and pleasant. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit Scala and Ravello.
The location is perfect, coupled with amazing staff at the restaurant and Walter is the best. They treated us like family and made our time in Scala special and memorable. The food is exceptional!!!
Fantastic hotel with absolutely stunning views ....so peaceful and relaxing....staff are amazing, so helpful and so friendly, couldn't do enough for you! Spotlessly clean and nothing was a problem!
The view from the balcony was stunning! The bus is easily accessible from the hotel (5 minute walk) and everything was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend :)
