The Inn @ Aird a' Bhasair, hotel in Teangue

Located in Ardvasar, 22 miles from Kyle of Lochalsh, The Inn @ Aird a' Bhasair has accommodations with a restaurant, free private parking and a bar.

As we walked up the road from the ferry and saw the Inn ahead, it was like being in a fairytale(or a Rosamunde Pilcher novel for those who know her work!). We arrived early and were greeted with kindness by those who were busy in the kitchen, Rodney, and just completing cleaning, Dawn. Both made us feel welcome and we were given early access to our room. We later met Sandra and Claire who always had a smile and were most capable and kind. The staff in the restaurant included Josh who was helpful in selecting a good gin or whiskey selection. All in all, the staff were as lovely as the Inn and the idyllic setting overlooking a pristine field of sheep with the exquisite views beyond.

Rubha Phoil, hotel in Teangue

Offering garden views, Rubha Phoil in Ardvasar offers accommodations and barbecue facilities.

In a lovely spot overlooking the ferry at Armadale. The place is ideal for those who want something just a little more adventurous. Although it had rained and the ground was damp, it stayed dry while we were there; heavy rain would certainly change the experience. Ludwig was very helpful and efficient.

Broadford Hotel, hotel in Teangue

Overlooking Bradford Bay, this luxury 4-star hotel is located in the village of Broadford on the Isle of Skye. Established in 1611, Broadford Hotel is the original home of Drambuie whiskey liqueur.

Right in the middle of the city with a great view! There was just a couch when we just entered the room and then another, separate room with the bed, table and bathroom. So, it was very convenient for our family of 4 to have some privacy.

House of Juniper, hotel in Teangue

Located in Broadford, 8.5 miles from Kyle of Lochalsh, House of Juniper has accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar.

Our room was modern and had a fireplace with a glowing “fire” that made the room cosy. The king size bed was very comfortable, and the modern rain shower fixture as well as the handheld shower head were great. The view from our room on the 3rd floor was beautiful. Everything was very clean and the staff attentive to all our requests. Their new restaurant, The Sprig, served the best Eggs Benedict I have eaten, and dinner was very good. Wait staff were friendly and the manager very helpful.

It is away from the busier parts of Skye, making it a quieter location, but within reasonable travelling time of Portree. Teangue, on the Sleat Peninsula, has a few eating places nearby should you not want to cook

    Great location.

Great location. Nice to get boat across from Mallaig instead of using the bridge. Plenty of choice of places to eat and drink in that area. Go off the main roads and discover the beautiful single track roads which take you to beautiful scenic areas.

    Great staff.

Great staff. I had a tough journey that day taking in 2 of 3 ferries to try and take in the drive and Island hoping experience. One ferry got cancelled due to a very low tide, which resulted in a 2hr delay and having to detour inland to make it to my destination as the last ferry from that point left @ 6pm. Logistics, know where and what you are looking to do and the time limits that apply :)

Not much here and not close to the main attractions on Skye.

Not much here and not close to the main attractions on Skye. Southern part of the island close to ferry to Maillag. Skye was much busier than expected with innumerable camper vans/ mobile homes clogging even the single track roads. Surprisingly few places to eat in the evening given the large number of b&bs and camp sites. Beautiful island but can rain when rest of country in sunshine. Prepare for any weather. If the proposed airport is built, it will ruin the island.

Toravaig House Hotel was one of the most picturesque places I have had the pleasure to stay at. Everything about this place is luxurious. The staff were amazing. Right from initial booking all queries were answered professionally and in a quick manner. Dinner at the Duisburg Hotel was exceptional and my compliments again go to the 2 young chefs who prepared our meals. So thank you to all the staff including Joanna, Carl, Silke, all the waitering staff from the north east, thank you you look after us all so well.

The apartment is in a beautiful part of the island and it is a lovely place to come back to at the end of some long sight-seeing days. Although not within walking distance of many places to eat, it is close to a number of hotels offering food to non residents and a good local shop is only a short distance away at Armadale. The Toravaig distillery cafe next door is a great place to eat during the day and the distillery itself is well worth a visit.

Excellent property, next to main road but still very quiet. Very well maintained with modern gadgets and facilities. After a day out, relaxing evenings with Netflix and Prime subscribed TV!!! Just 10 minutes drive from the Mallaig-Armadale ferry terminal Make sure you follow the guidance given by the hosts to locate the property. Tricky to locate with sat nav, It’s between the hotel and distillery!

This was a lovely wee Hotel, rooms was lovely and clean, breakfast was good but the staff made this hotel. Welcoming and friendly Cilka but especially Joanna, who gave us some great advise for a fantastic day out, organised our booking for a boat trip and arranged hotel transport for us to eat at their sister hotel for a different place to eat out, really went beyond her job.
