Stunning location, surrounded by the slate hills. The staff were very accommodating considering we arrived very late (2am). The beds were comfortable enough and the pillows were great. The room was massive, there were four of use sharing and plenty of space. Didn't hear any noise from outside and the room temp was perfect. Went to a cafe across the road for breakfast on the Sunday morning and it was brill, really nice place and good food.

This hotel is a local hidden gem in Snowdonia, I would fully recommend visiting when in the local area. Mike and Carrie are superb hosts, fully accommodating and their journey is amazing. The Gorge down the river is truly magical and worth the walk. Rooms are spacious and having a full suite is even better with all new facilities. looking forward to the summer and seeing the progress on the rear of the building. fully deserved rating and will be visiting again.

Highly recommend staying here. Staff were very helpful - we had to check-in to our room late and they were very accommodating in arranging this for us. The room was ideal for our needs - 4 of us. Bathrooms were shared - these were lovely, very modern. There was also a sink in our room. Bedsheets/linen provided. The place was very clean. There was a shared kitchen and lounge area, which was very comfy, with a variety of games and books. Ample, free, parking on the property. We stayed here prior to climbing Snowdon and the location was great for this - only a short drive away. Exceptionally good, especially for the price!

Fabulous style hostel ideal for walkers on a stop over or for those travelling to other destinations by car where there is plenty of parking space in the hostel grounds. SIngle room was smaller than what we thought, but for overnight stay its good value for money and beds was comfy to sleep. All had a good night sleep and was ready for the next day adventure. We want one more day but it was all booked so only stayed for one night. If we will go again to Wales will try to book here again. Good big kitchen with all facilities. Liked it. The owners were always on hand for everything and made us feel very welcome. We will be back! We were there during a storm which caused a powercut for the whole area, and we were offered extra wood for the stove, food, drinks, blankets, etc, and kept updated with what was happening.
