It is beautiful make house hotel set 1 m outside of Conwy. The hotel has about seven rooms . Check in was fantastic with a welcome drink. Large carpark. The rooms are large and modern and have all modern comms. We stayed in the deluxe room with an amazing view over river. We woke up to peace and quiet and what a view!!! The staff are so nice and they even gave us a lift into town in the evening This is a gem of a boutique hotel and l can’t recommend it enough . Why stay in a noisy city location when you can stay here! It’s perfect for any of surrounding areas and we will be back!

Caer Rhun Hall Hotel, hotel in Conwy

Located in Conwy, 17 km from Llandudno Pier, Caer Rhun Hall Hotel provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a bar.

Location, location, location: Conwy valley is a beautiful location the hotel is close to the river but not too close. The property is magnificent though we stayed in the annexe 'grandly named' Studio or Suite, actually a terrace of cabins 301, 302 and 303. Nonetheless poor for that, I at least didn't have to climb stairs to our room though the annexe was a few minutes walk from reception and if raining would not be good. The rating given would have been 10 if the bathroom hot water actually delivered hot water apart from that all good. I did inform the reception regarding lack of hot water for the bath which I was looking forward to, the shower was adequately hot the bath you wouldn't want to sit in. Comfy bed large wardrobe and nice bathroom fittings. The continental breakfast was epic the selection of fruits, cold meats, cheese and cereals could not be faulted also equipment to boil eggs and make waffles. Soon the kitchen will be up and running with hot meal choices.

We went to Conway for an Easter break with our 4 year old Grandchild. We also took our well behaved dog Harvey. We have travelled all over Europe with our dog and never had a problem taking him anywhere. However most restaurants, pubs and shops in Conway we found would not allow dogs. Even the castle where we were unable to experience this main attraction with our grandchild and the staff being very dismissive when we asked. We were not allowed into the shoe shop! Despite having a wonderful cottage to stay in, we will not be staying in Conway again and will inform other dog owners of this unfriendly side to the town.

Quiet at this time of year, (February) gets very busy in summer. We found a good Indian restaurant, Spice Safai, only very small, but the food was very good. Parking charges during the day are a bit high, not very welcoming for visitors, but they have you over a barrel! The castle dominates the town and is quite something. We didn't visit it perhaps next time. Lots of quirky shops etc.

Conwy is a beautiful medieval walled town and is a World Heritage Site. Conwy Castle is stunning and greets you as you drive over the bridge into Conwy, looking even more stunning when it is lit up at night. Plas Mawr can be found in the centre of the town. Also, a popular 1920's public house called The Albion. Fishing boats line the pretty quay, where you will also find the Smallest House and The Liverpool Arms, with a backdrop of Conwy Mountain. Conwy marina is just around the corner with a lovely pub/restaurant, The Mulberry, a stones throw from the golf club. Lots of independent shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants to choose from.

Great place to see in one go.

Great place to see in one go. The castle is nicely preserved and you have some excellent views from the top. The history is interesting as well. The city center is nice and walkable - lots of little shops to find gems in. Good restaurants/bistros as well. The marina is a good place to watch the birds, the crabs and the ships while eating some icecream! Don't go in by car! If you come by car, stop at the parking outside of the city walls and walk in, otherwise, it can be difficult to find parking. Also, if you enjoy walking but a calm atmosphere, go earlier in the morning. It gets a little cramped with tourists by lunch. Favorite place - a tiny shop selling welsh cheese 1 street over from the castle.

The staff were amazing, without exception. They were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Loved the size of the room and the balcony that came with it which overlooked a long rectangle water feature with garden features either side which were lit up at night. Loved the patio outside where we could sit and have a drink an overlook the sea. Perfect area for walking either side of the hotel. The town itself was a half hour walk round the bay. We ventured up to Conway Castle - very interesting with terrific views from the ramparts.

I was down for the weekend exploring north Wales. I drove and found lots of places to visit within a 30 drive of the hotel. Conwy has lots to see and Llandudno was only 30ish mins away by car and easy to spend a whole day there so the hotel sits in a good location. Nice that the rooms had hot chocolate as well as tea and coffee. It was nice and quiet location, benches outside to sit and eat. Staff were very friendly at check in. Really liked that the car park was so big too plenty of spaces.

Our stay was comfortable due to the hotel room being as expected. Big comfy bed, blackout blinds, massive TV. My only negative comment is there is no bathroom, you just have a hallway with a door for the shower and door for the WC, the sink is in the hallway. It doesn't give much privacy. They also give you a massive SMEG fridge, but no water. Good location and not far away from local town for bars, restaurants, beach. Approx 30 min drive to Snowdon walk/hike.

The location was perfect to explore the town, we walked the walls and gazed down at the lovely houses. The hotel exceeded expectations in every department. Our room was spacious, the rain shower was fantastic, there were ample soft fluffy towels. The meals were delicious, the full Welsh breakfast in particular was outstanding. The staff were a delight, friendly and helpful. We can’t praise this hotel enough.

An amazing hotel with excellent hosts. Graham and Delyth could not have been more accommodating and Charlie was a cutie! The room was large, well appointed and beautifully decorated. The views from our room were stunning. The breakfast were very generous and a sumptuous delight. Whenever we return to North Wales we will be staying at the Y Llew Coch hotel for sure!

Glan Heulog compares favorably with other guesthouses on this trip in terms of breakfast and hospitality. There is a nice solarium for guests to use. It is walking distance from Conway Castle and the town center. The hosts have made efforts to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
