We stayed last Saturday night and had pre-booked dinner. The hotel has a wonderful location set alongside the River Wharfe in beautiful countryside. The bedroom was olde worldy with a huge bathroom. There is an excellent terrace alongside the river, and as the weather was fantastic for sitting out it was very busy, but not uncomfortably so. The evening meal and the breakfast were both excellent and the staff were all helpful and very friendly. We will be back.
Set in Burnsall, in a historic building, 35 km from Royal Hall Theatre, Wharfe View B&B is a bed and breakfast with a garden and shared lounge.

We had a lovely stay at Wharfe View B&B. The owner was welcoming and friendly. He let us lock our bikes away safely in the garage. The rooms were cosy and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious!

Fish and chips were fab in the bistro, breakfast great. Spa nice, the location is outstanding, right on the edge of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. Overall quite a luxury option, helpful staff, well maintained gardens.

We stayed in one of the inn rooms (these are separate from the pub bit - there are no rooms within the actual pub/inn) which was large and nicely furnished. Wifi was good, but you do have to switch between different wifi networks as you move from the rooms to the pub to the leisure centre.
The walk-in shower in the bedroom was excellent - very powerful, and the room was clean.
The food at the Gamekeeer's Inn restaurant was also excellent, and breakfast was also tasty, but disappointing that hot chocolate is not included in the breakfast menu, and you'd have to pay for that separately if you don't want tea, coffee or juices.
Staff very friendly and welcoming.

The staff were amazing the food was so good and there was plenty of choice on the menu, a typical walkers pub.

A delightful, picturesque little village with walks along the river to either Grassington or Appletreewick. There is a large car park which probably gets very busy in the holiday season. Although there are limited facilities in the village itself, it is a great centre to explore the surrounding countryside. The Red Lion, in the centre of the village, serves drinks, bar meals and has a formal restaurant for evening meals, which I can recommend highly.

Do not stay in an annex room as these have not been updated.
Do not stay in an annex room as these have not been updated. I was told that the rest of the hotel had been but did not see any other room. I would not recommend the food as our took 1-1/2 hours (burger and fish and chips) We were forgotten about and told that it was a very busy night. Food was inedible. Staff didn't really seem to be bothered that we waited. When I complained the next day to the manager I was told Chef had accident in kitchen so everything was behind. Too little too late. Our room was not cleaned and again told new staff who were in training.

Burnsall is a very pretty village on the river Wharfe. Hours can be spent just relaxing watching the weather move over the landscape.
There is a good dog friendly pub and there are cafes. Parking can be an issue unless you park on the grass by the river which is charged at a reasonable rate.
There are plenty of walks in the area. It is easy to walk into the Bolton Abbey estate and also to Grassington. Wifi in the area is pretty good for somewhere so rural.

The Yorkshire Dales are stunning and we did not have enough time to explore properly. Fantastic area for a walking holiday but not in 30 degree heat!! We will be back to visit more places when it is cooler.
Burnsall itself is a charming, picture postcard village with a great hotel, tearooms and a pub. Oh, and a river.

Burnsall is a pretty
Dales village, with loads of walks and a bus service. The river is great for children to play in. There is a field to park in with toilets on it but the owner charges the rather extortionate price of £8 for the privilege.
I had all I needed at the Red Lion but the cafe and ice cream shop looked lovely.
The location is excellent as it has a great view of the river and the fells. One can take a walk and enjoy these sights. There is a lovely tea room off hotel property you can go to should you wish. The room we had was cozy and warm, very comfortable bed. The restaurant was lovely and the food was very good. There is also a lounge you can stay in and play board games or just keep warm. Parking was adequate and free.
We enjoyed the most wonderful stay at the Red Lion hotel. Our cottage was so clean and comfortable with picture perfect views out the windows. Breakfast included was a huge bonus and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It is perfectly located, by the River Wharfe, for exploring and hiking around the Yorkshire Dales. We really loved our stay and would definitely love to come back again one day.
Our room overlooked the river and bridge and included a bath, and, for that alone after cycling up and down hills, was extremely welcome. The staff were very friendly, helpful and found a secure place for the bikes. The hotel provided fresh milk in a flask and home made biscuits. We ate an evening meal and breakfast, both of which were very good with vegetarian options.
This is a truly magical place. The setting is paradise. You sense the history of this 16th century pub while also appreciating the attention to details and refurbishments that are happening. The food is some of the best you’ll have. The staff exceptional. I can’t speak highly enough of this place.
Stunning location and friendly staff. Food good at hotel and local pub. Central for touring Yorkshire Dales and the use of the spa was excellent and easy to use. Modern colours, directions and parking good (but don't get confused with sister hotel at the top of the road)
The olde worlde building, full of character, and very comfortable. The situation was beautiful, with the hotel being in a hamlet, and next to the River Wharfe. There is a very comfortable lounge that had a log fire when we were there.
The staff were all pleasant and helpful.
The staff were very friendly and attentive. Excellent service throughout the stay.
Dinner in the restaurant was excellent and very good value for money.
The views from the hotel and local scenery are amazing.
Great central location in the village. Cottage was full of character. Liked there was space for people to go into different rooms. Comfortable beds, plenty of clean linen/towels.
The hotel was lovely staff were great nothing was to much trouble it was my husbands 50 th and they upgraded our room I would highly recommend this hotel
