We didn't eat at the hotel, so can't comment on the food. Also, again we didn't use it but in the morning there was a basket of fresh donuts and fruit out for guests to pick up on their way out which was generous. I can't fault the hotel on the whole - it had everything we needed, plenty of radiators for wet equipment, boot room, shower always hot, nice toiletries, pool, sauna, hammam, hot tub, gym, fusbol, pool, bar etc. It's just not what I'm used to. Great location and amazing mountain views. Staff are amazing - nothing is too much trouble.

Busy resort. Lots to do, restaurants and shopping. Downside, expensive to eat / drink out.

We could choose whether to cook ourselves or going out for dinner. There are many restaurants and other eating facilities. Shops are available to buy your own vegetables and other necessities for cooking yourself.
You can choose to travel to Les Deux Alpes by public transport (combination of train and bus) or by car.

Loved the mountain biking trails.
Loved the mountain biking trails. Liked the artisan village of Venosc & the walk to the waterfall passing by goats on the way.
I took a day trip to La Barade. The scenery & flora were incredible. Well worth the trip! In the past I saw Chamois & Bouquetin but not this year.
Standard French Ski resort - everything is overpriced.
I really liked The Spot restaurant which serves excellent food at a reasonable cost.
Unfortunately the glacier was closed due to not enough snow. The mountains are a major construction site in summer time with a replacement Jandri Lift system being built. The Valley Blanche side was also full of bulldozers, diggers & earth moving equipment - adjusting the scenery some of it coming into contact with the trail systems. All bike trails above mid mountain were closed on the glacier side which meant that it was not possible to ride from the Glacier down to Venosc. One lift that needs an upgrade is the Mot de Lans chairlift which is pre-historic for Les 2 Alps. I would guess that this was to mitigate the risk of bikes & construction equipment coming into contact which is a safety consideration.
We enjoyed a swim in the semi-natural lake which was refreshing after a day on the trails. The luge was fun for a one-off run!
Plenty of things to amuse & if you have a multi-day lift ticket then you can use the lift pass at Alpe D'huez.

Great skiing and snowboarding for intermediates, if your a complete beginner you may want to come back when you have the hang of things. Lots of blue runs and some good red. Guaranteed snow is always a bonus, and the piste patrol keep an eye on everyone.
The toilet facilities on the mountain (especially on Le Crete, beginners area) were worse than the pits at a festival (yuk!) - LDA really need to sort this out, it stopped many people from eating in the area.
On the plus the town is a busy working town, lots of locals and tourists which gives it a great vibe. You can choose to grab a takeaway from one of the many on offer and have a cosy night in or you can party to 5am, but a big shout out to those who chose to party, they were very quiet on the way home, so very few disturbed nights.

The ski facilities are not well run.
The ski facilities are not well run. Long queues and a lot of lost time. A great deal of blue slopes makes the location more suitable to less experie nced skiers. Restaurants are typical. One cannot expect anything particular. They are ok.

Les2Alpes - good for a skiing holiday, Village 1800 great as all the cars are beneath all the facilities so it feels like a car-free zone. The lift system is quite extensive, so easy to get round the resort and all the runs.
It looks exciting for a summer mountain bike holiday (not tested, we were skiing).
A gorgeous, independently-run hotel at the entrance to Les Deux Alpes ski area (a short, free bus to the telecabine).
Friendly, relaxed staff, and a beautiful dog too!
Excellent breakfast included, consisting of muesli, bread, cheese, salami, jam.
They also offer a 3-course meal in the evening, which was good, and especially so because without a car, it's a bit too far from any other eateries.
Loved my stay there, and would happily return.
The central location, the great family rooms, the super comfy beds, the amazing staff and their "sustainable ethos" make it the best place we have stayed at at les Deux Alpes (and we have been many times). You can even buy your ski passes there without having to queue at the kiosk. And it is adjacent to the great bar des Lutins, with a great atmosphere and many board games after a day on the slopes!
We booked this hotel last minute. It was very reasonably priced and therefore was what we expected. The staff are excellent, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a buffet, with a standard choice of cereals, yoghurt, bread/cakes, hard boiled eggs, cheese and ham. Most of the tables at breakfast are shared.
- it was near the center and ski lift jandri
- good price
- clean
- personel responsive - we reported that the bathtub drain was clogged and we need a heater and they resolved it
- good comunication on email and phone before and during the stay
- nice view
- ski depozit space on ground floor
Excellent value for money for such a lovely apartment with plenty of cooking facilities, washing machine etc. Very spacious and stunning view from the living room/kitchen area. Also only two minutes from the Diable chairlift, and a minute from the Ski Pass office and a local boulangerie.
Was warm, nice balcony, had a bathtub, location is ok if you ski at Valle blance, if you want to go to the other side u must walk or take the shuttle.
The beds were nice and we had a vieuw from the bed looking onto the terass/mountain.
Has a P and a lift too.
Nice overaal .
Fantastic location with ski in ski out facilities.
The hotel itself is wonderful with clean rooms, comfortable beds and lovely staff. Breakfast is really good with lots of choice. There is also a choice to have an evening meal…do it it’s amazing!
Hotel great value for money. Don't understand the negative reviews. Exactly as described. Room clean and comfortable, breakfast excellent for a days skiing. Upstairs bar great for a couple drinks before heading out for a meal and pool a bonus.
The food was excellent and there was plenty of choice, and all of the staff were friendly and helpful. The views from the hotel were fantastic and there are a number of ski hire places nearby and chairlift up to the Cretes area,
Breakfast was basic, lunch was good but a small selection. Really great staff, always willing to help. Location to get food was great, everything in walking distance. ski hire and ski pass can be bought onsite
The hotel is delightful; good size rooms, decorated well, lounge and breakfast areas are very inviting and the breakfast spread is really good. A short walk to the ski hire shop and main lifts.
I really liked the position of the hotel, the courtesy and availability of the staff, and the comfort of the bed and the main services I used (bar, skilockers).
