This place fits right in with the saying don't look at the jar but at what's in it. The hotel really looks beautiful from the outside like in the pictures but the room ("suite") was terrible. Acoustic insulation does not exist. Cheap parquet. The whole room looks shabby compared to the beauty of the place from the outside. I told the team the feeling and he looked bored. Too bad we traveled so far for this.

A small town with plenty of history, particularly of the Sherry trade (Osborne in particular).
Small enough to walk around comfortably, though there seemed to be no shortage of taxis.
Uncrowded (late April).
Many good restaurants and bars.
Very convenient for travel to Cadiz and Jerez.

This was a great clean hotel, with a really comfortable and spacious room. The minibar was a nice addition, and not excessively priced, though admittedly very limited options. Although the room had great soundproofing from the street, there was quite a lot of noise coming from nearby rooms and downstairs in the reception.

We came to the town from Cadiz. There is no comparison.
We came to the town from Cadiz. There is no comparison. The town is busy but not trendy as claimed in all the media. You can find a good restaurant or two if you do the legwork.
The harbour is not on the sea but on the river. We didn't think it worthwhile to try the beach.
We will can't see what all the fuss is about and will stick to Cadiz in future

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was modern and spacious. The roof terrace was a bonus! Loved the concept of the “Honest Bar” which was a communal area for coffee/tea/snacks/cold drinks. We were there for a local wedding at the Castillo San Marcos (only 2 mins walk from the hotel) and we would highly recommend staying here if you would like to give Puerto de Santa Maria a visit. Location is very central within walking distance to many shops, restaurants and train station.
The hotel is very centrally located and going to the old town etc. is very easy. From the outside it's very well maintained and the garage for parking is convenient as there's no searching for parking (parable option). There's also a public parking available nearby which is a bit cheaper than the hotel itself.
The staff is very friendly and the rooms are well cleaned.
A delightful hotel with a pretty entrance in a beautiful historic building, nicely restored with inner courtyard, close to the center. It is a basic hotel, but the room and beds were clean and comfortable. Elevator. The receptionist was very friendly and english speaking. We received a great tip for eating dinner. Big free parking about 5 min from the hotel.
The rooms were small, clean and simple but very comfortable and conveniently located. There was no parking on site but plenty nearby at reasonable rates. Staff was friendly but they didn't speak English. Great value for money, especially during Holy Week in Spain.
it's at 25-30 min from Cadiz by car
The breakfast is very good/varied (fruits, juices, yogurts, breads, eggs, etc); the swimming pool is excelent! the room has a good size/balcony/and the hotel is located in front of the beach:); the room was very clean which is a very important criteria for me! Parking lot at the hotel; lovely staff!
The hotel is very quiet, close to the beach and only a few km from the city center of El Puerto de Santa Maria (40 mins by foot). The hotel is lovely, well decorated and very picturesque.
The room is nice and has a great view. The bathroom is also well equipped with what is needed.
Location is very good - walking distance to the beach as well as center / harbor (the town is very small), free parking at the street, friendly staff and superb breakfast (way better than common *** hotel). The value for money is really great.
I like the location of the hotel is real quite and safe, rooms and bathroom are very big with a nice balcony. Very good housekeeping . Front desk very helpful, overall a nice stay.I love the decoration and cleaning.
The hotel is in poor condition with torn curtains and hanging off the rail. The staff were rude . In breakfast the food had been cleared well before 10:30 and there was no other way to get a drink till 13:00.
Our third stay at Puerto Sherry although this visit was at a different time of the year. We were not disappointed and as the weather was extremely good, the use of the hotel pool was an added bonus.
It's a pretty complex but apartment interiors are getting 'old'. The grounds are beautiful and the breakfast is abouts as good as any hotel breakfast anywhere.
Room good size and quiet but this isn't a hotel, the rooms are individual terrace style units on a Butlins style campus. Only plus was easy access to beach.
the hotel needs to upgrade tv not 1 english channel andnot the facility to change on settings language very bad as there were other english speaking guests-
