We stayed there for a weak in the off season and had a wonderful time. I honestly do not know what could be improved. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the food was excellent, the location is really nice and the SPA area great, I could imagine though that the latter could get a bit crowded, if the hotel is really fully booked.
This hotel in Grafenhausen offers rooms with free WiFi and free parking. It is a 5-minute walk from the Rothaus brewery and an 8-minute drive from the Schlüchtsee lake.

We booked hotel last minute as it had good rating. That absolutely correct..everything was excellent, clean and modernized rooms.
Breakfast was excellent..somehow eggs were tastier than any other hotels.
We even got some coupons to get discounts on local attractions.
All staff were very helpful and welcoming. Hotel location itself is not scenic but most attractions around the area are drivable 10-30min drive..
Expecially families of 4 rooms are spacious
This country-style hotel in Grafenhausen is a comfortable base from which to explore scenic highlights of the Upper Black Forest such as the Schlüchtsee lake and Wutach Gorge.

Breakfast was excellent, all meals were excellent in face. Highly recommend
Family run, the son spoke excellent English who was the cook. Such good food and the location was very quiet and peaceful. They had a freshwater nature swimming area. All in all a five star hotel !

It’s central and tidy, also the breakfast was great.
Hotel is good 3-star and it is slowly getting into age.
Hotel is good 3-star and it is slowly getting into age. Pool is the main selling point, including the view from it. In the morning pool was mostly empty, in the evening there were more people and children jumping and making noise. Breakfast was good with decent buffet. Our french bed was not very comfortable and a bit narrow for two people (140cm or so I guess). Hotel is located on the main mountain road with quite a bit of traffic and we read in the previous reviews that people complained about noise. Hotel responded that it is possible to book more quite rooms so we asked for this kind of room. From the photos, I was convinced that all rooms have view, however this is not the case. Our room looked to the second hotel building and the room patio was basically on the edge of a parking lot, so our view was to the parked cars. We asked for a room change, but they told us they were fully booked. Dinner in the restaurant we didn´t try as it was a bit on the higher price range. Greek restaurant in front of the big church in St. Blasien (village 2km away) was very good and 30-40% cheaper. Anyway, location is convenient to explore high Black Forest, 20-30min drive from Feldberg, lakes (Titisee, Schluchsee), waterfalls etc..
Very comfortable and clean rooms. Friendly staff. New owner was an excellent host and provided some useful advice for hikes, local restaurants and family activities. Good and varied breakfast. Excellent value for money.
Great location: many possibilities for activities in the nearby area (a wide variety of hiking opportunities in Hochshwarzwald, indoor and outdoor swimming facilities, spa, rodelbahn, mini-golf about 300m from hotel, nice authentic towns like St Blasien, etc).
we like the nices staff, food in the restaurant, massage, facilities and etc. We stayed there during my birthday then one waiter in the restaurant always assisted us and my boyfriend ask him if he could find a candle for the cake that he ordered for dessert and luckily and without hesitation my cake arrived with candle on it! it was a comfortable stay! Kudos to all staff and workers of this Hotel.
We had the "Suite Herzogenhorn", room 139, and it was enormous. Plenty of space for my two daughters in one room, and the two of us in the other room... plus, it was right next door to the Swimming Pool / Spa area.
This is my favourite hotel in Schwarzwald, we had amazing food, and it was a really relaxing break.
The hotel was very nice the staff were very friendly. Good choice and tasty breakfast . We enjoyed the spa area and seemed to be very central to all rooms. Beds were very comfy. We really enjoyed our stay.
Beautiful hotel, with an amazing SPA. The room was great and the service was very good with very kind people (even if not speaking English fluently, everything went super well, no problem at all).
Very nice room, tastefully decorated, friendly staff, relaxing and well equipped wellness area. A nice selection of breakfast choices. A perfect hotel for a relaxing escape in nature
Nice hotel with clean rooms, good breakfast, kind staff and nice swimming pool / sauna's. Good location for hikes and day trips to other parts of the black forest.
Friendly staff despite late booking. All amenities, kitchen, living room, bedroom, balcony, clean and tidy. First time in last 4 hotels normal bed. I recommend.
