Excellent property just 15kms away from main Hallstatt. The drive was pleasant. The rooms are a bit far away from the main reception building but the view from the balcony was awesome. The restaurant is good too.

Very picturesque, quiet and calm place foo relaxation, or for nature walks. Beautiful lake, a bit cold, but you still can bath. You can also find nice little beaches when walking along the lake, not many people around. Not many places to eat, but the food in our hotel restaurant was delicious, very high level!MariannaRussia

Lake Grundlsee is a beautiful quiet location, very suitable for family holidays, pleasant swimming, fishing in the lake. The apartment was cosy, clean, superbly equipped, e.g. many kitchen appliances, washing machine etc. The hosts were very friendly, helpful, gave us tips on excursions and events in the area, were interested in us all the time to make sure we were happy and had everything we needed. For extra price we received a room in a bungalow with direct view on the lake. The room was just the right size, comfortably warm and the beds very comfi. The spa area is one of the best for a hotel - decent size pool with massage and 4 different saunas incl. steam and chill-out area. very modern. The staff at the reception was friendly and offered several options regarding rooms and breakfast.

Andreas told us the history of the land/house which goes back to the 1100s. The property has been in the family since the 1600s and a vacation property since 1745. It has been renovated to modern standards. It is just a great spot to enjoy the great benefits of Austria.
