Our room was pool and sea facing which was an amazing view. The room and the bathroom had plenty of space. The bathroom came with a bath and shower cubicle, which had two shower heads. The pool had a thermal section and a cold water section. On one evening of our stay there was a DJ and snacks provided by the hotel. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful. Amazing sunset view! Breakfast was lovely with loads of sweet pastry and baked goods, selection of cheeses and meets, breads and fruits.

Fantastic place. On top of a hill over Lacco Ameno the hotel offers excellent views from the pools and from the restaurants. But what made our stay a dream is the personnel at the hotel. They are not just kind and respectful. Any person of the staff looks as if he is in vacation with you. They love their place and this made our stay so special we hardly found anything like this in our previous trips. And this is a confirmation as this was our second stay at San Montano. And for sure this will not be the last. A top place to stay.

The most awesome thing is that the premises have a spectacular view from the bar/restaurant terrace, surrounded with numerous cacti, flowers, herbs ... They offer a very tasty breakfast with a ton of options (especially tasty were the ricotta and fresh cherry tomatoes), the dinner was also fantastic and they also offer a wonderful selection of beverages.
Staff was very friendly, super helpful and always had an answer when we needed help or advice. Free shuttle service option is very welcome (since the hotel is pretty high up the hill) an seeing the drivers manage narrow winding roads of Casamicciola you are very quickly very happy you didn't rent a car. :)
Rooms are simple but nice and clean and our balcony had a wonderful sea view.

Arrived in a storm, boat transfers were not available but Johnny the owner came and picked us up from Serrara Fontana in his Jimny Jeep and took us down the mountain from 400m. An Off Road experience but fun !!!
Food is simple, home cooked, but really tasty.
Location was superb on the beach. Waves crashing under our balcony all night.
If the weather had been sunny and warm it would have been fantastic.
Right next to the Roman Spa and in walking distance of Sant'Angelo and Maronti Beach
Weather was still bad when we left 2 days later, so Johnny took us on another Off Road Trip.....
