We were only here on an overnight visit after going to a show at the Upper Canada Playhouse. The weather was cool and overcast so although we drove around for a bit did not really take in the sights. The downtown area is a must to see though and holds an old time charm that should not be missed. From historical period homes and lovely shops/stores to visit and all set against the mighty St Lawrence River. We have promised ourselves to go back when it gets warmer and take full advantage of the area.

We enjoyed our 2 day stay in Brockville and found enough to do there. The town is pleasant to explore with some nice shops and restaurants. The museum and railway tunnel are interesting, the river cruise is fun, the scenery beautiful and the waterside location relaxing. Pace of life feels slow and this is reflected in some of the service we experienced in the restaurants. There are opportunities for swimming and boating but we did not try these. We also did not visit the Aquatarium but this looks good especially for children. Overall a really nice place to visit where the locals seem to take a great pride in their town and their history.

I loved walking on the water front, just fantastic views of the St. Lawrence Seaway.
We had a great meal at the pub at Tall Ships Landing.
Loved the 1000 Islands cruise, worth the money paid for 1.5 hours.
I found the city quaint, with its beautiful old historic buildings, squares and churches, a real little jewel.
People were very friendly.
Pay parking available, and free parking for 2 hours also available, so that was great.
Did not like that most of the restaurants closed by 9 or 10 pm, some even by 7 pm.

It is a charming little town with interesting things to view and within a short distance of Seaway towns.
We ate at Chucks, which is within easy walking distance of the Inn. The menu was huge, great service, very reasonable prices, wish the restaurant was closer to where we live!

Small town with lots of amenities - golf course located only a few kilometres from downtown, multiple marinas, choice of restaurants and cuisines, small shops as well as big box stores, Brockville Tunnel, Brock trail that runs through good length of town, Mac Johnson Conservation area, situated on St. Lawrence River in the Thousand Islands, easy access via 401 or RT 2.
Fabulous! Scrambled eggs were delicious! Sandra and Janet waited on us and fulfilled our every need. We really enjoyed our time in the dining room. Loved the turkey sausages. Bottled water was really cold, which is exactly as I like it. The baked goods were very fresh. I particularly liked the plain bagels. My husband chose the frosted pastry, which he found tasty. Thanks again Sandra, and Janet. This visit to the dining room was a highlight of our stay at the Brockville Holiday Inn.
The room and building was beautiful. We loved the style and detail. We came with our family including a 2.5 toddler& 3 month and having the elevator not working made it more then challenging to carry that much luggage & items up 3 flights of stairs 3x up to the room. I’m all for a new work out challenge but on vacation with the family in this environment not so much. Then leaving the hotel was equally challenging for our family.
The room was a comfortable size and very clean. The bed was super comfortable as were the pillows. Probably one of the best hotel beds we've slept on in our travels. The water pressure in the shower was amazing! We were also allowed to bring our medium size dog (65lbs) for $15/night extra which was very helpful to us since our usual kennel was booked for the holiday weekend.
Ida and David were such great hosts! We absolutely loved their B&B, this a beautiful well kept and curated heritage home in the heart of Brockville. Their place was impecable, the King room was spacius, comfortable and clean, the house has multiple rooms that can be used by the guests. Every night Ida asks for your choice of breakfast, which is freshly made and delicious!
The Boutique Hotel in Brockville was a perfect getaway just off the main road in town, a close walk to the farmers market, and all the great restaurants and shops. The breakfasts were delicious. The room was comfortable and clean, the salt-water pool was delightful, and the hosts were welcoming and friendly.
nice hotel, cleanliness in room,/toilet, lobby. good breakfast, comfortable beds, clean sheets, friendly staff, location and walking distance to shoppings/restaurants, free parking and pool- so love everything. We wish we stayed few nights. We also like Brockville.
Ida and David were wonderful. They offered a beautiful home, an amazing breakfast, and great conversation. Very gracious hosts! We would definitely recommend their B&B to anyone travelling through Brockville and hope to visit with them once again in the future.
Price is very reasonable. This is not a 4 star hotel and the rooms are not super clean but breakfast is offered and you can watch Netflix in you room, which is not the case at most hotels we've stayed in. My toddler was very happy to watch his favorite shows!
we loved the breakfast at this hotel. This hotel had lots of variety and had convenient containers to take the food back to the room where you had to eat. Trish is also very friendly and helpful. This made us feel better about our stay.
Great stay based on hotel of this category.
- We were on a cycling trip and they were okay with us taking the bikes in the room.
- Exceptional staff.
- Good breakfast
- Warm homemade cookies in the evening were yummy.
Very good access from the main. Neat, clean and friendly staff. Good breakfast.
Excellent value for money. Better than holiday Inn in Toronto that we stayed before this.
