It is a beautiful, clean, and quiet city near Katowice in German style almost at the cross of A4 and A1 highways. Center\downtown is a typical Polish historical district with buildings mainly from the 1900 years. It deserves a few days to walk in the center, visit Palmarnia, the wooden radio tower, and the Villa Cairo museum.

Well- if you are coming here its probably not because of hunt for beautiful views or splendid architecture. It's not a world class tourist hub- just a little, kinda sleepy city. Do not take me wrong- there is nothing bad about it, it has its own, german-ish charm, nice restaurants, pleasant town square and is quite well connected- you should not be disappointed, just do not expect too much and you will be fine.

The small old town is pretty with plenty of lively restaurants and pubs. Recommended visiting over a weekend. I discovered very delicious doughnuts in a store called "Stara Pączkarnia". Just delicious.

We actually found people unfriendly, with a few exceptions(they were lovely). Must be a cultural thing.
Street signs (for us) difficult to pick up(car)
Not a lot of parking (perhaps there but we could'nt find)
Limited attraction hours (we understand however if usage low)

Beautiful city with a lot of beatifull old buildings
We ate in "Pyszne kurcze pyszne" with an incredible decoration/ There is a large train layout along all walls.A train serves you drinks/ For me super restaurant
The place was really good. We liked the style of the flat: with those red bricks - very modern and nice. The room was quite big, especially the bathroom. We really liked that it was in the center of the city, for a good price. Especially we enjoyed the process of check-in and checkout were we need only use the code. We enjoyed our stay, it also was convenient to get back at night after the concert at Gliwice Arena (about 25 min walking). Thanks a lot.
The location of the hotel was excellent as it was right next to the highway and easy to find, ample parking space as well. It was very quiet and provided a good night's rest on our long trip. We booked quadruple room which came with a hot-tub (the kids really enjoyed that). The room was spacious and it provided with some free water bottles and instant coffee (with a water heater). The price was really affordable as well.
This is my second time staying in Silvia hotel, this time with my family, the room is very big, which is amazing, breakfast was good aswell and the restaurant is amazing!!
My husband did enjoy the beer that made by silvia hotel. The only complain we have is the door in our room, were having a hard time to closed it, but other than that, everything is amazing, we surely stay in Silvia again if I'm going back to gliwice..
I chose this spot solely based on localisation for an event in the nearby arena. I was nicely surprised it wasn't cold (late october) - I had just stayed in another hotel that still didn't have heating on despise late autumn. Lady at front desk was nice and helpful. Lots of space for parking. Quiet outside at night.
There is no breakfast there which was a plus for me. There is a bakery nearby that offers espresso! In the grocery store on the corner of the same building, the employees are extremely kind and pleasant. Animals are not accepted, which contributes to the cleanliness and tranquility of the hotel.
I've been upgraded from Diament Economy to Diament Plaza, which is the 4 star hotel. So I obviously don't complain, but there wouldn't be anything to wine about anyways: it was clean, spacious, kind staff ... the whole 9 yards.
Top ratio price to quality! Very nice and professional personal! Great dinner and one of the best breakfasts we had from our nemorous travels and stays in the hotels. Highly recommended pace to stay.
Very good communication with the host. Very clean and nice tea collection. The location is perfect for everything in Gliwice and the windows isolate well sound which comes from the main square.
Rooms were noce, facilities were working well, easy communication with hotel management, really good shower and water pressure. Excellent location for a night stay during the journey.
The room was clean, nice and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is walking distance from Gliwice Arena, which is great. There was a wide choice at breakfast.
Staff is friendly and location (surroundings) are nice.
Food was good with very tweety breakfast.
Hotel staff was kind enough to accommodate our move out request.
Located 2 min walk from the station. Rooms basic, but very well cleaned and staff very friendly. Small hotel with only a few rooms. Good value for the money.
The hotel is located close to the main square, the train/bus station and the Polytechnic. The room was clean and the staff very friendly and efficient.
