It was one of the most amazing experiences I have had on vacation. It's more of a palace than a hotel. The pool area, the rooms, the architecture/design, also the quality of the food. The gardens, the breakfast inner court/patio left us speechless.

Lovely premises, breakfast was good, the room was clean and well furnished. The pool area is great to relax in and we had some nice food/drinks from the restaurant. From the moment I checked in, the hosts’ Samantha and manager’s warm welcome settled me in so quickly, it was a feeling of coming home. A lovely big room awaited me with cool air circulating it. The tranquility and vast colours of the garden made for a beautiful dinner/lunch/breakfast setup. The food was fresh and tasty, breakfast was my highlight, made to perfection by the hosts. At dusk, the garden is lit with enchanting lights. Samantha provided me with a candle and outdoor lamp for me to continue my book read. I lacked nothing. If you want a place where it is you and the sounds nature with good wifi, away from the buzz of the city, I highly recommend Bab Al Samawy. My bed was so lush and comfortable, I will definitely book again.

The hot air balloon was really the highlight of our tour in Luxor. No one should miss it along with the visits to the Valley of the Kings, Queens and Hatshetsup Palace. Downtown Luxor was also a must-see specially the old market place and the Luxor Temple and don't forget about the local food.

Luxor's archaeological sites are the most impressive I've ever seen. They are spectacular.
I went in April, in spring, and the temperature reached 38 degrees Celcius. The locals told me that in summer the temperature will be around 50 degrees.
The population appears to be very poor and the city is poorly maintained.

So much !
So much ! Magic Carpet Tours were excellent, organising a wonderful balloon ride, a dreamy sunset felucca trip to Banana Island, an amazing driver called Hassim who took me to the Valley of the KIngs, Hatshepsut's Temple, Karnak, Memnon Colossi, Temple of Luxor, and didn't hurry me at all. He drove me to Aswan the next day via Edfu and Kom Ombo. Luxor is fabulous, busy, lots of street sellers trying to get you buy or ride in their horse carriage, but a polite 'La Shukran' (no thank you) was fine and they are just making a living like the rest of us! Nefertiti Hotel was a peaceful sanctuary, and I would not have missed Luxor for the world. Personal highlights: Karnak Temples and Seti's tomb at the Valley of the Kings - awe-inspiring.

The temples and archaeological sites are amazing.
The temples and archaeological sites are amazing. But beware of many people in Luxor trying to get you on the horse and cart, boats, sell you stuff, and who follow you around trying to con you. Dont be duped into going to the "one day a week" market that is a bazaar/shop in a dirty back street. If you dont buy anything they will demand 1000EGP anyway. The souk (market) is ok, but the harassment to buy is too much. I felt very uncomfortable after 3 days and wanted to get out of there

Luxor is a beautiful place with an immersive history.
Luxor is a beautiful place with an immersive history. Karnak & Luxor temple and Avenue of Sphinxes on East Bank of Nile & Valley of Kings/Artists, Hatshepsut temple, Medinet Habu, Deir-el-madina on the west bank are the places we visited during our stay.
We didn't eat out as it was Ramadan and we wanted to be discreet with food when travelling to the sites.
We hired a guide through Aswan individual to drive and explain the significance behind the places we visited and hence, unsure as to how to travel otherwise. Having a car would be better, as the sites are spread across the city, but a cycle would do just fine.
It is better to start early in Luxor as it tends to get hot as the day progresses. So, we did most of our trips from around 7 till 2 and rested in the afternoons.
We really enjoyed our time in Luxor.
The food was really incredible. They offered a typical Egyptian fare. The ingredients were all fresh and served promptly. A couple of times we needed a last-minute meal and they always happily accommodated us. Food was so good, we actually didn't eat anywhere else in Luxor. LOVED the roof top patio too. They also helped us arrange a couple tours and taxi rides which were all excellent. The location is ideal--right next to the market and a short walk from the temples. The Venus was so much nicer than staying at a big box hotel.
The staff was super helpful from the moment we arrived. I got sick on the train on the way to Luxor, and luckily one of the staff members Noor was also a nurse who provided immediate medical care and I was good to go for my pre-planned tour. The hotel has an in-house tour company called Aladin Tours as well. The tours were amazing, and the guide Rania was super knowledgeable on the ancient Egyptian history. The rooftop restaurant was great as well. Chef Abu Zizo ensured we got good service and food.
I had a very good time in Pyramisa Luxor. Staffs was very helpful when we couldn’t take that noise from the Christmas event but they immediately changed our new room. Hotel is clean and beautiful view. Beside, I highly recommend a very good organisation tour guide Abdul and his number is +201019016230. He is extremely take care of us with his services still the last day we left Egypt. Thank you so much for making my holiday completely happy and unforgettable.
Lots of love from Huy and Jenny
The hosts are amazing and very very nice! They truly care that their guests have a great experience in the way YOU want. Best of all, they honestly provide you with all the information needed to explore Luxor without being pushy to take their services unlike oftentimes in Egypt. They helped to save us a great deal by pointing out local shops and transportation. The Egyptian breakfast was also great and the restaurant has a great view on the West Bank monuments! Thank you for having us!
The hotel host Hassen is so nice! He helped us solve all the problems in Luxor, he helped us arrange hot air balloon trips, and helped us arrange chartered cars. He can also help us exchange Egyptian pounds, take us to the souvenir shop, and help us bargain. When we left, they took us to eat local traditional food, and then sent us to the platform of the train station. All this moved us very much. If you travel to Luxor on your own, this hotel is definitely the first choice.
· I really loved the restaurant where they served breakfast and lunch/dinner. I was able to watch the balloons in the morning from the west bank. You can walk across the street to Luxor temple which I liked as well. Wael, the receptionist was super helpful and they also helped us hold luggage in the lobby while we explored our extra day. The value for this hotel is really great and one of our favorite places we stayed in Egypt.
Gorgeous rooms in Egyptian style, super tasty and fresh food every day with local products from the market. Beautiful hotel on the banks of the Nile with a boat that transfers you anytime to the other side. One of the best hotels we ever stayed in. Our host Marina took care of everything! If you plan a visit to Luxor, don’t look further for a hotel, Djorff Palace is your best option!
I had a delightful 2-night stay at the Fontana Hotel in Luxor, Egypt. The ambiance was serene, the staff exceptionally welcoming, and the amenities exceeded my expectations. The room was comfortable and well-maintained, offering a perfect retreat after exploring the captivating attractions nearby. I highly recommend Fontana to fellow travelers seeking a memorable stay in Luxor.
The owner is very kind and helpful, he has the best recommendations to make you save some money, and very good prices for the tours, as all Egyptians, he will try to sell something, but no hassle. It is the best quality-price rate hotel I have ever stayed in. Everything is clean and the facilities are up to the standards. Hot water for winter and a nice terrace for breakfast.
good location, just by the Nile river, few minutes walk to Luxor temple, the hotel has a river view rooftop where we had our breakfast time there. The breakfast is Egyptian style and delicious. Room is clean. All the stuffs are friendly and helpful, especially the manger and the girl in reception(super lonely) 100% recommended!
The Hotel was ok, located on the Nile, relatively clean (by Egyptian standards). Has several restaurants & bars on the premises, with many seats in the garden overlooking the Nile, which is great. Prices were not high. For Egypt it would probably deserve a score of "8", for Europe more like a "5", so I gave it a "6".
Amazing staff, always ready to help! Rooms with air conditioner and WiFi available. Great location, right next to Luxor Temple. The Hotel's restaurant is amazing, great food and price. Breakfast is very good and loads of options to choose from. Can't recommend this enough, best place in Egypt so far!
Our stay was amazing. Hany did book an amazing day trip to the Valley of the kings with Michael, and Michael was extraordinary, an exceptional Egyptologist with vast knowledge. Truly a game changer. I cant recommend this hotel enough.
Thank you Hany! Thank you Michael!
Everything about this property was fabulous. This is ideal for solo female traveler. Located away from the chaos of the touristy side of Luxor. Located in a small community of friends and family. Super safe, clean, and the Wi-Fi was the fastest I’ve had in Egypt❤️
The building is beautiful. The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. Has a good AC and good internet. Is very close walking to get a motorboat to across the Nile to Luxor East. $100.00 Egyptian pounds more or less.the owner and staff are very friendly.
So far this is the best accommodation that I have stayed in Egypt. is like a home stay , owner very friendly and best thing is they make the best local Egyptian food. very genuine and sincere. I think this is a must visit in Luxor, better than 5 stars hotel!
Very nice room with view on the Nile. Modern, comfortable and with very nice and clean bathroom (the best I had in my 10 days in Egypt!).
The swimming pool and swing on the Nile are great!
Very quiet location, far from the noisy central streets of Luxor.
Clean, fancy, breakfast was the nicest breakfast IN EGYPT so far. The breakfast area was nice overlooking the Luxor temple and Nile. Hotel itself had nice little pockets that were different to each other. Comfortable beds.
Staff were nice
