The place has an old, yet rich feel. Dark wood floors, a huge room with a bed, bath and a beautiful room view to the lake.
The breakfast was the best I've had in Austria, and the staff was very accommodating.
We've also had dinner to celebrate our anniversary, and the dinner was amazing! Beautiful presentation and taste.
The place has a beach bar and a private beach, although when we stayed the lake temp was a bit cold to swim.
I would come again!

I loved the history, the staff, location and the atmosphere. Staff was extra helpful, and not just one person but everyone on the team was extra hospitable and genuinely cared for the guests. Interacting with any team member was super comforting and nice.

St. Wolfgang is lovely but not pedestrian-friendly.
St. Wolfgang is lovely but not pedestrian-friendly. The town is chopped up by a highway tunnel. The road from the Garni Buchinger hotel into the town is narrow, mostly with no sidewalks and pitch dark at night. There's a lot of traffic on this road making it unsafe for pedestrians. For this reason we had no choice but to drive the short distance into town each night for dinner.

St. Wolfgang is at the bottom of Schafberg and obvius choice to stay. Village is small, very, very nice (absolutely comparable and probably even nicer than nearby and well known Hallstat). Lake view is visible from almost every house, there are a lot of hotels, really nice shops and a lot of restaurants.
Like elsewhere in Austria, note that shops close early and restaurants close at 22h (.there is a single hotel bar opened until 24h, at least that was correct at the moment of our stay).
I had problems finding gluten free products (local supermarket only) and coffee shops which serve lactose free milk (single coffee shop).
Absolutely recommend st. Wolfgang and will likely come again at some point. There is a lot to see and do here.

Nice historical village.
Nice historical village. Possibility of excursions around the lake, sailing on the lake, hiking in the surrounding mountains. Prices in restaurants are higher, as are prices in hotels. It seems to me that some of them exaggerate. (both hotels and restaurants)

the city itself is very picturesque. On the main street there is a pleasant atmosphere - cafes, shops, in general, a resort. Unlike other similar towns, there are many trekking routes, any kind of water sports on the lake, a bus connection to nearby sights and very-very beautiful everywhere.

nice little village, quite with nice people, very easy to get around.
In the lakeside you can find water sport, bouts to rent.
the restaurants was very good, and in the summer their is a summer festival with food trucks and music, very nice cultural experience.
Great location, amazing views, facilities on site were great. The hotel footprint is relatively small but it has prime waterfront views and access to the lake. Breakfast was phenomenal with a wide variety of foods + a la carte ordering. Worth getting the room with a sauna and balcony. We didn't have a reservation for dinner one night and they were willing to move things around to help accommodate our last-minute request to dine with them.
Great location by the lake and only a short walk to the ferry terminal and 10-15 min walk into the centre. Rooms are clean and well equipped.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Returned here as we’d enjoyed our visit last year.
Garden outside the hotel as well as area across the road by the river to sit and relax in.
Exceptionally kind, hospitable, and accomodating hosts! They noticed that Booking.com had overcharged me and fixed the problem. The room is spacious and clean, with a terrific view to the lake and the nearby mountains. The hotel is very near the bus and the ship stops. A lot of wonderful hiking trails around.
Pictures do not show how luxury hotel is, and how beautiful nature which is surrounding it.
Great breakfast (my wife has appreciated prosecco), perfectly equipped room with a kitchenette - modern, clean, with a big balcony and lake view. What else do you need? Just book it - you will not regret!
Max & anna are great people, let you in with great hospitality.
The place is new, quite, private, makes you feel like an Austrian that lives in a far lonely house.
I would be back exactly to that place if would visit st. Wolfgang again...
Very clean and bright room, good location (close to the lake, St. Wolfgang, tour boats) and very kind owner who let us print concert tickets that we forgot to print at home. Overall very good experience. We will definitely come back.
The hotel is located near Schafberg and faces the Wolfgangsee. In smaller rooms with balcony on the side of the building, lake view is restricted but already good enough for me :D Both owners of the hotel are very nice and helpful.
The view is beautiful. And that is the best part of this hotel. Breakfasts are delicious with authentic products. Dinner is so-so. We would expect more tasty after reading all the marketing about the restaurant. Staff is friendly.
Amazing hotel, amazing views, lovely staff and St Wolfgang is a lovely town.
The restaurant on site is fantastic and very reasonable for the money. Right in the heart of town and right on the lake, absolutely wonderful!
very comfortable and great for a group! the host gave us really good recommendations and things to do around the vicinity :) also had a well-decked kitchen that made it easy to cook up a quick meal after a long day out!
I loved! the family atmosphere, but also romantic. the hotel has very special touches, a small boutique hotel in the mountains. It is very close to the lake and the nearby town is small but beautiful.
The staff was super friendly and accommodating, they really know hospitality! The hotel is super cool decorated and it definetly has a lot of personality. Location is perfect !
Fantastic service, fantastic hotel, perfect location by the lake! So friendly atmosphere which made our vacation perfect. I can only highly recommend Cortisen am See.
