Sauze has a great range of skiing linking into the Milky Way and other close by resorts. English is widely spoken, food is reasonabley priced, ski shops abound. The resort is a little lower so snow has been patchy the last few years. In a week you couldn't ski it all.

Great for skiing. so many slopes/km of trails.
Great for skiing. so many slopes/km of trails. Local people are friendly. village/town is nice and great food / restaurants.
It's a shame that for 50 Euro/day the ski resort has no gondolas or faster lifts.
Otherwise we love coming here!

A lovely little town with many great bars, restaurants and of course great skiing! The Old Town is all picturesque cobble streets and cosy venues and the apres ski is also good. Access via skis to nearby Sestriere is also possible, which opens up another large ski area for those wanting more pistes to play on.

Sauze d'Oulx is a very quaint town with a lot of history. If you want a cosy, picturesque stay in the mountains better to stay in Sauze than Sestriere if you're looking to ski at the Via Lattea resort. There are many good restaurants such as La Griglia and many bars, including sports bars. A lovely deli (Gastronomia) which I picked up many treats from and a pasticceria (Pasticceria Valsesia) where I bought loads of lovely Italian biscuits to take home with me.

Amazing after-ski vibe.
Amazing after-ski vibe. Cute village with a lot of restaurants serving delicious food. You do have to book ahead or you find yourself flitting from one establishment to the next trying to find a table for dinner. Cobblestoned roads. Easy acces to ski lifts and rental ski shops and easy to find shops selling ski gear.
On rhe fownaide i found no dki instructirs availablexthere and then so it s importantvto pre book
We loved everything about this hotel , the position right on the slopes was perfect with breath taking views . We were lucky to have a room on the front with a balcony and were blessed with lovely sunny days so after skiing right to the door we could sit on our balcony and watch the last of the skiers coming down the piste . From our arrival we were made to feel so welcome . We absolutely loved it there .
Breakfast was very nice, varied and sufficient, even able to make a small sandwich to take with us at lunchtime. The staff however were excellent and very attentive and helped us with all our needs. Mario the taxi bus driver was amazing.
Very clean and tidy hotel, good location, even being out of town wasn’t an issue, especially thanks to the shuttle bus service.
Would happily stay again.
At first glance the hotel appears dated, but it is actually a very traditional Italian place to stay. Guests were from many countries. Breakfast was excellent and their is a dinner menue if you want it. There is a ski locker, car parking and it is in the heart of the town. Only meters from the Clotes ski lift, bars, restaurants and shops.
The location was perfect! Comfortable, very cozy apartment with gorgeous sunrise views. The kitchen and laundry machine were extremely useful. Temperature was also comfortable the whole stay. 10/10 would return! Just make sure you're aware there's no WiFi. Thankfully, the whole town has public wifi, as does the hotel next door.
We came very late, and the Gentlemen who manages the Hotel picked the phone, guided us to where we parked the car and whowed us everything.
I assume the rooms were new, ...however, everything was clean and very very nice. Wood everywhere and fits nice in the Alps. View from the balcony right into the mountains.
Brilliant location close to the ski lift with heated boot and ski room. The hotel was impeccably clean. Super friendly staff and Nicola the hotel manager was really helpful, kind and provided loads of local knowledge and support with booking restaurants / travel arrangements and the like.
The hotel is modern and clean, and the location is very good. The Clotes chair lift is only a 5-7 minute walk away, which is convenient. The decor is modern and not your typical kitsch mountain cabin style (which is a nice change). The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was lovely, but the best part was the hospitality of the hostess. She knew everything and everyone in the area, and was super helpful about where to rent skis, arrange ski lessons, etc. Having an apres-ski drink at the hotel bar was the best way to end the day.
Great buffet breakfast with a massive range of food & lovely view. Love the bar area! Staff helpful. Good to buy lift pass at hotel with discount. Ski locker room very convenient & warm. Easy shuttle bus to slopes.
The hospitality was exceptional. Fabio and Danielle were so welcoming and friendly. Accommodation was second to none. Food fabulous. Hotel and rooms spotless. Will definitely stay here again!
The location is beautiful and, with some minor but significant nuisance to be sorted out, would deserve a 5 star rating. We could dine at the hotel only once but the cuisine is really great!
The hotel deserves a much better rating if the communication got improved.
I got a very hard time getting an invoice. I finally got a totally unproper invoice with no ID from the hotel.
The hotel is very clean, and the location and views are amazing. Went with my family and had a family room. Buffet breakfast was ok, drink machines didn't work properly.
