Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomLocation of this property is fantastic, central to everywhere I want to be and easy access to underground for anything a little further. The staff were polite. The room was as expected for price and this is the second time iv stayed here,so I know what I was getting. Also, it is true to online pictures and description

United KingdomFlooring in the room had big holes in it. Slight musty smell in the room, and black out curtains required.
Great location, lovely staff. As budget hotels go, I've stayed in far worse for more money.

Isle of ManA small investment in some blackout or thicker curtains would be nice. The wifi was useable but could be better and the location of the plugs in the room could benefit from a small extension lead being offered just so you can charge your phone next to you.
The location of the hotel is perfect for Covent Garden, Soho, Leicester Sq etc. Tottenham Court road is just around the corner and you fall over places to eat and drink in the area. On the hotel, it's exactly what it says on the tin, clean, friendly, staffed 24hrs with free wifi and basic facilities in the room. Bed was very comfortable, there was a noiseless ceiling fan which was needed. The bathroom fan turns off when you turn the light off and the shower has hot water at a reasonable pressure. For the cost and location I cannot fault it and will absolutely be adding it to my list of go to hotels for the area.

ColombiaThe room was very small - barely enough for two people. One side of the bed was against the wall, so it was difficult getting in and out, more so with suitcases around! We found ourselves constantly running into each other. The bathroom was also super small. Also, the room doesn't have good enough ventilation, so you'll find yourself relying on the air conditioner.
The location is the best part of this hotel. Staff was friendly. The room was clean.

United KingdomI don't think I was warned that I would be in a windowless basement room with no obvious fire escape and part of the underground premises used as storage. Maybe I didn't read the booking details carefully enough. The wifi from Starbucks upstairs was better than the house wifi.
Location, location, location. And very decent, polite staff.

Fabulous location. You are paying a premium to stay in the best possible location in London. Basic accommodation but extremely clean! Excellent housekeeping staff. Very professionally run with 24 hour front desk. Hannah at reception was lovely and helpful.

United KingdomI had a basement room which I knew, however to get there was a walk through all the cleaning equipment and spare mattresses and chairs and past the laundry room. Whilst the room was in the basement the lighting was also a bit dim and depressing.

United KingdomYou need careful navigation to manoeuvre round the room, not a complaint as such but they are very cosy and we both left with shin bruises from the beds. However the value for money outweighs this and we already knew the rooms were small.
The location was perfect, central but minimal noise from outside once in our room: the staff were brilliant and no restrictions on when you could enter and leave the property during the night.

United KingdomThe room is very small and basic however clean and comfortable and for the price in central Covent Garden can’t complain. Didn’t see any other hotels nearby so a good choice to be in walking distance of all the action.
The location was excellent right in the centre of the action in Covent Garden. New the tube 100 yds from the the theatre loads of restaurants nearby. Couldn’t be better

United KingdomI think the only one that I didn't like is that I wish that the hotel would put an earlier check in time and a later check out time (after 12pm)
Love the coziness of this hotel and it's well equipped with all the bare necessities needed to get a good night in London. The location is very strategic as it's surrounded by a variety of eateries, gift shops and the train tube. Would highly recommend this place for those who wants to stay in a budget, cozy and comfortable hotel!

On arriving at The Seven Dials, the friendly and professional staff member asked if we would like to be upgraded to a studio apartment 7 mins away! We were so pleased. The apartment was scrupulously clean (my main reason for booking The Seven Dials as our budget accommodation to begin with, as had seen the cleanliness comment on another review). Facilities more than adequate, location central -perfect!

United KingdomPlugs missing in each room I stayed in recently. I understand the reason why,....so floods causing major damage through accidental taps left on with blocked plug hole,......but very frustrating. Sorry they don't do a limited 'Continental' type breakfast any more. It provided just the right starter to your day of visiting sites.
Very helpful staff on each shift. Bedding and room cleanliness is always fresh and well presented. Extra coffee/tea/milk available on asking.

United KingdomCould had done with some shower gel in the room. This may have been an oversight and I didn't realise until it was too late. As I was only staying a single night didn't both checking with reception. Also with a basement room, there was a dark service area full of stuff visible next to the lift. It didn't bother me, but could have been hidden behind a curtain or a door. But that is a very minor point. Don't let it put you off. Great room at a great price.
Nice, clean room. Bathrooms in basement rooms are often mouldy. This had a powerful extractor and was well maintained. Bed was comfortable and the fridge was a nice addition. Very happy with my room
