Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomMy only criticism was that the room was too hot-heating was on full blast. I tried turning the radiator to cold but heat still blasted from it.
Lovely small hotel in a great location for museums with plenty of buses to central shopping. Staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough for me. Great breakfast with plenty of choice. A lot of thought had gone into providing every little thing you might need in the room.

United KingdomThe bathroom door was made of unfrosted glass in the family room which wasn't ideal, as I was staying with my partner and my 16 year old brother. There was limited selection for breakfast but it was enough considering the fact that it was included.
The beds were very comfortable. The area felt safe and was a short walk from the Hydro. The staff were very welcoming and we had a very peaceful night's sleep! The room was spacious and was ideal for what we needed.

United KingdomNothing, everything was great and no complaints or suggestions at all.
The location was ideal as we were going to a concert at the Hydro and it was within walking distance. There were also a lot of pubs and food facilities nearby. The hotel itself was lovely, the decor was very nice and the room was spacious with excellent facilities to have a lovely stay. The staff were excellent, very friendly and advised they were available 24-hours for anything we need. The breakfast was great; great selection of cereals, pastries, tea/coffee, fresh fruit, fresh fruit juice, etc. Overall, Boutique 50 was a lovely place to stay and would highly recommend. Thank you for a lovely stay.

United KingdomNot a major issue for us but our room was situated directly behind reception desk which meant you could hear the main entrance door open/close and some muffled conversations. We stayed at a quiet time of the year so this didn't create too much disturbance.
Hotel was located in a beautiful area of west end Glasgow, directly in front of a gorgeous park which made for a peaceful morning walk. Continental breakfast has a good variety of options. Room was well decorated and clean with plenty of facilities. The inclusion of the record player was unique and quirky and perfect for us as music lovers. The room was a good size for 2 people and the bed was incredibly comfy.

United Statesthe absence of real coffee at breakfast especially at that price - everything else great so this is a gaping hole unless it was a one-off and it is usually there..??
the setting of the room was perfect for my needs, really beautiful outlook and peaceful which was very conducive to work prep and quiet and sound-proofed and great you could open the windows, all wonderful points!

United KingdomWe didn’t get a door code so were locked out after hours! Fortunately a fellow resident came to the rescue. The receptionist mentioned the sheet with info on but said ‘take one if you like’ or would red to that effect. We were not shown the fib on the key either. All ended well, but I did think we might have to spend the night in the car at one point!
Great location, nice room but quite small.

Very nice property close to many of Glasgow's attractions. Staff have been fantastic. Marion particularly has been very helpful. The continental breakfast was varied and presented beautifully. United KingdomThere was snacks in a tub. I ate a chocolate tea cake when we arrived. Then my daughter found a piece of paper with a price list behind the snacks. It was very deceiving. If I’d of known they where charging I wouldn’t of eaten it. £1 for a tiny tea cake when it’s a £1.25 for a pack of six in supermarkets
Very modern and clean. The cheeseboard was a lovely touch too
